Dear Friend,

We made a slight mistake yesterday regarding the timing of a bill that we asked you to take action on. There are two critical Texas bills that both deal with the transgender agenda. The bill to protect minors from transgender drugs and surgeries (S.B. 14) should be heard soon. But the priority bill – being heard on Monday in the Texas Senate State Affairs Committee – is the bill to protect women’s sports (S.B. 15).

For those of you who have taken action on S.B. 14 already, thank you! You are ahead of the curve—that bill will be heard soon, and we will update you as needed.

But Senate Bill 15 is equally important, and we urgently need your help to ensure it passes out of committee on Monday! That’s when the Texas Senate State Affairs Committee will consider S.B. 15, a bill to protect women’s collegiate sports in Texas. The bill protects female college athletes from having to compete against biologically male athletes.

In recent months, we have seen the stories about an Ivy League man dominating women’s swimming events. He has illegitimately broken women’s records and taken the place of deserving women on the winners’ platform, including at both the Ivy League and NCAA National Championships. Parents are now concerned for their daughters’ sports scholarships and educational opportunities. It is a travesty and one which we need to prevent from happening in Texas.

Along with our friends at Texas Values, who have been critical to the effort to get this bill passed, we need your help making sure it becomes law.  The Senate State Affairs Committee will consider S.B. 15 on Monday, and we need you to send a message to your Senator today urging them to vote “Yes” on S.B. 15 and ensure female college athletes in Texas will not have to compete against men.

Let’s ensure the playing field is level for women’s sports!  Discrimination against women in the name of social expediency has no place in Texas. Send a message to your senator today requesting that they vote “Yes” on S.B. 15 – it only takes a moment using the form below.

Now is the time to speak up to protect women’s sports in Texas!

Sincerely,
Joseph Kohm

More and more children are being pushed toward transgender interventions. This often begins with puberty blockers and eventually progresses to cross-sex hormones and even surgery. Many of the resulting physical changes, like sterilization or mastectomies, are irreversible.

It should come as no surprise, then, that the rise in transitions is producing more people who regret that decision. Despite the permanent changes, many of them eventually try to return to living as their biological sex. They’re known as “detransitioners,” and those who choose to publicly share their stories are incredibly courageous.

That’s why at Family Policy Alliance we are glad to recognize Detransition Awareness Day, happening this year on March 12 (Sunday).

Whether you personally know someone who has struggled to embrace their biological sex, or you simply want to be more educated on the issue, this weekend is a great time to learn more.

Below are three resources to help you get started.

  1. Hear from someone who lived it. Our CEO and President, Craig DeRoche, recently sat down with Erin Brewer, a woman who greatly struggled as a child to embrace her female body but now advocates to protect children from this harmful ideology. Watch now on Facebook or YouTube, or listen to our podcast episode on Apple, Spotify, or Google Podcasts.
  2. Understand the parents’ perspective. Earlier this year, we talked with reporter Brandon Showalter about his work on this issue and about a new documentary called Dead Name. While not about detransition specifically, this powerful documentary sheds light on the struggles parents face when a child chooses to “transition.” Watch now on Facebook or YouTube, or listen to our podcast episode on Apple, Spotify, or Google Podcasts.
  3. Get the facts. If you want to learn more about the issue or how you can be involved, be sure to check out our Help Not Harm page. There, you can get answers to the most common questions, learn about the issues at stake, and find ways to take action.

As you learn more about this issue, be sure to say a prayer for those who suffer from gender dysphoria. Join us in praying for their protection from dangerous procedures, for the ability to get loving help when needed, and for hope and healing for those who have gone through with transition and are now regretting that decision.

And, while you spend time learning and praying about this issue, you can rejoice with us that there is good news: four states have already passed Help Not Harm laws, which protect children from transition and give child victims a chance to sue the medical practitioners who hurt them so much. Plus, several more states are considering similar bills this year – perhaps your state is one of them! Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube to stay up-to-date on the latest developments.

Sincerely,

As a young child and trauma survivor, Erin Brewer hated that she was a girl. Life would be easier, she thought, if she were only a boy. So, she began walking down the path of transgenderism. But that wasn’t the end of her story.

In a new video today, hear Erin’s inspiring story of how she came to love her God-given identity, and her encouragement for struggling children and their loved ones.

A word to parents: this interview may not be appropriate for young ears. We’d recommend popping in headphones if little ones are around. But, we do encourage you to listen when you can! Erin’s story and practical encouragement will be well worth your time.

We have an urgent request for your help on two bills in the Minnesota legislature.

We need your help protecting Minnesota’s next generations from woke ideology. The Minnesota legislature will soon consider two radical and dangerous bills: HF 91, a bill destroying all pro-life laws in the state, and HF 146, a bill removing children from their parents if one or both of the parents opposes transgender ideology.

These woke bills would endanger young Minnesotans, born and unborn, and would destroy parental rights here and in other states. Help us oppose them by making your voice heard!

HF 91 would wipe away all existing laws protecting unborn life in our state, such as the Born Alive Infants Protection Act, which ensures that babies born alive during an abortion are provided with all necessary medical care. It would clear the way for a Minnesota with no restrictions, even bipartisan common-sense ones, on abortion.

HF 146 could take children struggling with gender dysphoria away from their parents if they refuse to enable harmful “gender-affirming care” for their kids. Like California’s infamous bill SB 107, it would authorize Minnesota courts to take emergency jurisdiction over children from other states so that they can be subjected to permanent disfigurement in the name of transgender ideology.

Born or unborn, kids deserve to be kept safe from predatory medical procedures. Along with our friends at the Minnesota Family Council, who have worked tirelessly to oppose these bills, we need your help to protect them.

Please send a message to your legislators today telling them to oppose HF 91 and HF 146.

It only takes a minute using the form below. By doing so, you will help ensure Minnesota law continues to protect children.

Please also consider attending Minnesota’s Pro-Life Advocacy Day on Tuesday, February 28th. Organized by our friends at United for Life, this event will bring together pro-life Minnesotans and pro-life organizations and church bodies from across the state. Their goal is to care for women, children, and families by inspiring legislators to fight for the fundamental rights of all human beings, from conception to natural death. United, we fight for justice–for mothers, for children, and for families. Please register here in order to be guaranteed a T-shirt and legislator meetings.

Dear Friends,

We are writing to you with good news! This fall, we asked for your help to stop a radical rule pushed by the Biden Administration’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). It forced any healthcare entity participating in ObamaCare to provide abortions and gender transition procedures—and forced federal health insurance plans to cover them.

The rule modified section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) by removing Trump Administration policies. It also attempted to force healthcare providers to perform abortion and gender transition procedures, even if they opposed them on moral or religious grounds.

Biden’s HHS put healthcare providers and their conscience rights in its crosshairs, but YOU helped defeat it! In the last two weeks, not one, but TWO Federal Appeals Courts decided against the proposed rule! The 5th and 8th Circuit Courts of Appeals both slapped permanent injunctions on the rule.

Even better than that, Biden’s HHS declined to appeal the ruling to the Supreme Court, officially ending the rule!

This could not have happened had you not responded to our urgent call to action and submitted thousands of public comments opposing the rule. Without your voice, Biden’s HHS would not have declined to appeal to the Supreme Court. You spoke up and made them listen!

Finally, you have helped create a favorable legal environment for our Help Not Harm legislation, which has been passed either in full or in part in both Arkansas and Arizona and introduced in many other states. Help Not Harm protects vulnerable children from harmful gender transition procedures and ensures they get the proper healthcare they need.

These rulings, and the Administration’s submission to them, set a standard: doctors cannot be forced to provide gender transition procedures. And through this standard, these rulings help make the case that gender transition procedures are harmful to minors. This creates a hopeful outlook for states that pass laws protecting minors!

Thank you for your support of healthcare workers and their conscience rights, vulnerable children, and the unborn. When you speak up, the world listens!

We encourage you to continue to make your voice heard with us on behalf of the least of these!

Sincerely,

Joseph Kohm

Three phrases that don’t belong together: government-funded, transgender interventions, for minors. You read that right: the government is paying to help John look like Jane. And, in the state of Pennsylvania, it amounts to more than $16.7 million in taxpayer dollars.

Join us TODAY to hear from our state ally Pennsylvania Family Institute about this shocking discovery, and what else they learned when they filed a right-to-know request in their state.

If you read Family Policy Alliance emails, you saw the news late last week.

California Governor Gavin Newsom approved a new law that will allow the state of California to acquire custody of children from other states in order to perform gender transition procedures on them, even if their parents object.

It really is tragic and unbelievably arrogant – but it gets worse.

You see, seemingly responsible adults at places like Facebook and their allied “fact checkers” who should also know better are choosing to ignore the dangerous truth about this new law.

And for political reasons, they go a step further to claim that the law does not do what it says.

You can see here where they have used the tools at their disposal to try to censor the information that we shared. By falsely alleging that we are “missing context” they are trying to convince readers that facts don’t matter and what California has done is perfectly normal.

This is why we need your help.

If you really look – Facebook never disputed what Family Policy Alliance wrote. Their “fact-check” was intended to create confusion in the minds of readers, but the headline of their “clarification” simply reaffirms what we stated.

California is brazenly taking custody of children, over their parents’ objections and the legal authority of their home states, in order to “transition” them.

Here is the headline from their “Fact Check” article.

But isn’t that what we’ve come to expect from social media giants courting liberal politicians?

They have a clear political agenda, and using a “fact check” to cast a negative cloud over the truth is one of their favorite tactics.

We need your help to push back.

We are up against a lucrative agenda that has enlisted the media, big tech, government, politicians, and even professional medical groups in efforts to normalize transgender procedures for children and to hide the truth about their harms. I hate to use the term brainwashing – but that really is their tactic.

That is why Family Policy Alliance needs your help.

Your gift today of $1000, $250, $100 – even $25 will help us continue push back with the truth against this misguided and destructive agenda.

Every dollar helps us push back the Facebook censors to reach more people, train our allies—including elected policymakers—in how to respond, and prepare other states to stop California from harming their children.

We expect other states to do the same thing that California has done, and we must be prepared to respond and act.

This is inside information…we have a plan (already in motion) to protect children and we need your help to keep the momentum going. Can you be a part of the movement to counter the tactics we face?

Join us today.

Sincerely,

Robert Noland
Director of Audience Engagement

Late last night, Gov. Gavin Newsom of California signed a bill into law that is a potential threat to any family in every other state.

This hours-old California law lets the state of California take custody of children from other states in order to do gender transition procedures – including puberty blockers, sterilizing cross-sex hormones, and irreversible surgeries – all without the parents’ knowledge or consent.

Essentially, it creates a transgender sanctuary that will serve as a magnet for minors whose parents won’t allow them to mutilate their bodies. This new law essentially brings the ultimate cancel culture right to the front door of every parent in the nation.

It also means that California has become the official state sponsor for transgederism’s cultish targeting of children in 49 other states.

The threat is real – and it is nationwide!

Family Policy Alliance is working right now to bolster state laws to protect against this radical threat. And we’re working with allies on Capitol Hill for a federal response – since this is a threat that crosses state lines.

Will you stand with us? We need your help for the huge state-by-state fight ahead!

California politicians have taken their swing. Now it’s our turn to bat. Will you stand with us?

Sincerely,

Craig DeRoche
President & CEO

P.S. If you live in California – as so many good people do – please do not lose heart! We are working closely (even late last night and this morning) with our allies at California Family Council. Wherever you live – blue state, red state or in between – keep shining the light and standing strong!

Dear Friends,

We have an urgent request for your help. In just days, the comment period will close for a radical rule the Biden Administration’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is pushing. If enacted, the rule would require any healthcare entity that participates in ObamaCare to provide abortions and gender transition procedures—and require federal health insurance plans to cover them. The rule modifies section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) by removing Trump Administration policies to force federal health insurance plans to cover abortion and elective gender transition procedures.

We need your help to stop this latest effort from Woke DC!

Your voice can make a difference! Right now, you can submit a comment on this proposed rule urging Biden’s HHS to rescind the rule.

TELL HHS YOU OPPOSE USING THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM TO PUSH THEIR WOKE AGENDA.

The proposed rule also rescinds the Trump-era Conscience Protection ensuring that the rights of healthcare providers who oppose abortion and gender transition procedures on moral or religious grounds would not be violated. Biden’s HHS seeks to put these providers in their crosshairs with this rule and run roughshod over their First Amendment freedoms.

This comment period is only open until 11:59 pm ET Monday, October 3, so we need you to act fast!

Please submit a public comment opposing this dangerous rule! Tell the HHS you STRONGLY OPPOSE using our healthcare system to promote abortion and gender transitions (even on children)—and disregarding any providers who prefer not to provide those procedures.

We’ve provided some comments for you to use, but the more personal you can make your comments, the better! The federal rulemaking process requires the Administration to respond to “unique” comments, so use our sample comments to make yours as individualized and specific as possible!

For example:

Tell HHS how this will impact your doctor.

Tell HHS how this policy violates the conscience rights of healthcare providers.

Tell HHS how this will impact your healthcare.

Tell HHS how this will endanger women through the spread of abortion.

Tell HHS how this harm children through dangerous gender transition procedures.

Tell HHS that abortion and dangerous gender transitions are NOT healthcare.

Please SHARE this information with your family and friends–every comment can help slow down and may even stop this rule!

SUBMIT YOUR COMMENT OPPOSING BIDEN’S 1557 RULE NOW!

Standing with you,

Joseph Kohm

California lawmakers want to kidnap your kids.

A recently-passed bill, SB 107, would allow California to kidnap kids from around the nation to perform gender “transitions” on them.

If a girl in Ohio, for example, had parents who wisely did not want her to go on testosterone, California might take custody of that girl and give her testosterone in California.

All that stands in the way of that reality? A governor’s signature.

Join us TODAY for a critical discussion about this dangerous bill, what you can do to help stop it, and what it will mean for YOUR family if it goes into law.
