Sr. Vice President for Development

Scott Liggett is the Senior Vice President of Development for Family Policy Alliance, having joined the FPA/FPF team in October of 2022. His responsibilities include the formation, implementation, and facilitation of the ministry-wide development plan, with an emphasis on continuing to build new, and strengthen existing relationships, with major ministry partners, foundations, and others for financial support. His unique skillset and experiences complement an already exceptional team.

Mr. Liggett brings over fifteen years of development experience, with a track record of raising significant resources for Christian organizations. His past experiences include impacting the missions of both Lutheran Child & Family Services as the Director of Development and Western Michigan Christian Schools as Chief Advancement Officer, Dean of Students, Director of Development, Teacher, and Coach. Scott was introduced to the world of politics in 2005 when he served under Craig DeRoche as Special Assistant to the Speaker of the House in Michigan.

He received his bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University, his teaching certificate from Grand Valley State University, and holds a master’s degree in Non-profit Administration from the University of Notre Dame. Scott lives in Grand Haven, Michigan, with his wife Kelly and their four children – Addison, Adayla, Samuel, and William.
