Election Alert for Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District

Will a conservative Georgia Congressional District send a “defender of Planned Parenthood” to Congress?

Recent polling suggests it might.

Liberal Democrat Jon Ossoff has a significant lead in the polls for the special election in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District and he is a near lock to make the runoff. Moreover, polling shows he has a strong chance to win in a hypothetical two-person showdown.

Ossoff has a host of problems, but we are primarily concerned about his staunch opposition to our values. He has publicly pledged to “defend Planned Parenthood,” fight for a woman’s “right” to terminate the life of her preborn child and make sexual orientation and gender identity a protected class.

We are not making an endorsement in this race, but, Jon Ossoff unabashedly proclaims a liberal worldview. Three of the four other candidates polling competitively- Karen Handel, Judson Hill, and Bob Gray- all make strong, pro-life statements on their websites. The other, Dan Moody, features a school choice position on his site.

In the coming days and weeks, Family Policy Alliance of Georgia will share more insight on this race and the candidates.

The threat is real. The conservative 6th Congressional District could very well send a radical liberal to Washington to oppose our values.

The time to act is now!

Above, you can see the stated positions of each of the five candidates recently polling above 2%. While there are other quality candidates in the race, a number of them are not polling well. It appears the runoff will come down to Ossoff and one of the other four mentioned above. Please share this information with your friends and family and follow our comments on this race.
