This week, I enjoyed celebrating the birthday of one of my best buddies: my now two-year-old son, Cade. Words cannot describe how much light, joy, and laughter that boy has brought to my heart. Here is what my sweet wife wrote on his birthday:
While Cade has brought an incredible blessing to our family, birthdays that should have been, go uncelebrated. The abortion crisis has cost the lives of millions, robbed countless homes of joy, and remains the greatest atrocity this world has ever known.
This week, we remember the horrific loss of life with the March for Life and Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. Please join us in prayer for what we labor toward — a day where ALL human life is cherished, where abortion is eradicated, and there are no more uncelebrated birthdays.
If you want to march: Join Georgians from all over the state for the March for Life, hosted by our friends at Georgia Right to Life, at the Liberty Plaza near the Capitol. There will be a prayer service at 11:00am, and the march will start at 1:00pm. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me an email.
We also commemorated Religious Freedom Day: I joined allied organizations at the Capitol for a press conference on Tuesday to remember our ongoing battle for religious freedom here in Georgia. My remarks focused on the kind of world I want my children to grow up in — one where their religious freedoms are upheld and they can glorify God without fear.
And, we continue to fight for these things: The legislative session is now in full swing, and we are actively promoting legislation to strengthen the Right to Life as well as secure religious freedom for Georgians. If you support these efforts, please consider a contribution to Family Policy Alliance of Georgia.
