The Idaho House of Representatives is about to vote on a bill that would provide state taxpayer funding for abortifacients – drugs that kill a newly fertilized embryo. The bill (H563) passed the committee and could pass the full House unless pro-life Idahoans speak up.
Please send a quick email to your state representative now.
Two of the so-called contraceptives that will almost certainly be covered by this bill – Plan B and Ella – are potential abortifacients, because they can prevent implantation of the newly-fertilized embryo.
Dr. James Trussell, a member of Planned Parenthood’s national medical committee, Director of Princeton’s Office of Population Research, and one of the world’s leading authorities on emergency contraception, has stated:
“To make an informed choice, women must know that (emergency contraceptive pills) … prevent pregnancy primarily by delaying or inhibiting ovulation and inhibiting fertilization, but may at times inhibit implantation of a fertilized egg in the endometrium.”
We’ve made it easy to speak up to your state representative. It only takes a few seconds at our Action Center, and your voice could make the difference as this bill goes to a vote very soon.
Thanks for making your voice heard!
Sincerely,
Julie Lynde
