National Day of Prayer, an annual event celebrated around our country, will be held here in North Dakota on Thursday, May 3 from 12:00-1:00pm in Memorial Hall at the State Capitol. Additional National Day of Prayer events will be held around our state. To find a location near you, go to the National Day of Prayer website and simply search for “North Dakota”.
National Day of Prayer is critically important for our nation, as it reminds us that our founding fathers were people of faith and that they established our great country on these principles. The principles of freedom and liberty that established our country find their roots in our faith, and our faith is sustained and strengthened through prayer.
Please join us praying for seven key areas of our nation: government, church, business, military, family, education, and media. Last year, over 300 North Dakotans attended the event at the Capitol, including many young men and women from our local schools. There is no need to register, just come down and participate. We look forward to seeing you there as we lift up our nation in prayer!
