Today, Family Policy Alliance of New Mexico announced its endorsement of Janice Arnold Jones and Yvette Herrell for Congress.

“Family Policy Alliance is pleased to endorse Janice Arnold-Jones for Congress in New Mexico’s 1st Congressional District,” said Vince Torres, President and Executive Director. “In addition to her impressive credentials as a state legislator and city councilor, Janice is committed to protecting the unborn, strengthening families, empowering parents, and defending our First Amendment rights. We need this type of proven leadership and experience in Washington D.C., and this November, we encourage voters to send Janice to Congress.”

Janice Arnold-Jones represented Albuquerque’s District 24 in the New Mexico House of Representatives for eight years and was an appointee to the Albuquerque City Council in 2013. She is a graduate of Albuquerque High School and the University of New Mexico. Janice is married to Commander John L. Jones, U.S. Navy (Ret.), and together, they have two children.

“Family Policy Alliance is extremely proud to endorse Yvette Herrell to serve as our next Congresswoman in New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District,” Torres continued. “As a state Representative, Yvette has been a passionate advocate for strengthening families, protecting the unborn, and preserving religious freedom, and we are confident she will continue to advance these critical issues in Congress. New Mexico needs a strong leader in Washington D.C. who will put our state’s interests ahead of gridlock, partisan politics. Yvette is that leader and we look forward to having her as a member of our federal delegation.”

Yvette Herrell is a native New Mexican, an entrepreneur, and a four-term member of the New Mexico House of Representatives. As a legislator, Yvette has introduced and sponsored several pro-life measures, including a 20-week late-term abortion ban; parental notification for minors seeking abortions; and legislation to protect infants who survive a failed abortion. Yvette is active in her local church and resides in Alamogordo.
