HB 1546 Passes the House! The Ban on Dismemberment Abortion Moves Forward!

January 31

As we alerted you in previous emails, House Bill 1546, the Human Dismemberment Abortion Prohibition Bill, would ban the barbaric and inhumane abortion practice of dismembering a living baby. This typically happens in the later stages of pregnancy when the preborn child has a beating heart, brainwaves, and can feel pain. The bill was sponsored by Representative Luke Simons, another of our Statesman Academy graduates™. Now to the good news.

Thanks to your involvement, prayers, and financial support, the bill was voted out of the House Human Services Committee with a “Do Pass” recommendation of 9-2. It then went to the House floor today and was voted on. It passed by an overwhelming margin of 78-13! Now it’s on to the Senate for their approval.

This is a big win for pro-life efforts in our state and we couldn’t have done it without you. Family Policy Alliance of North Dakota will keep fighting for your values this session, as we all ask God to bless our efforts with more wins for biblical values.
