As students return to the classroom this week, the battle for the minds of the emerging generation is escalating. The sexual agenda of activist groups and leftist educators must be exposed and restrained. Their attempt to indoctrinate children to reject God’s objective creative order and replace it with subjective undefined identities is a serious social overreach that has parents, pastors and teachers troubled. The moral revolutionaries’ endless obsession with sexuality is unhealthy and unnecessary.
New Jersey Family Policy Council, in partnership with engaged parents and local elected officials, is on the frontlines advocating for parental rights and conscience protections for your children and grandchildren.
This month our team has, or will:
- Publicly testify at the Barnegat Township City Council Meeting (see image on right) in support of Mayor Al Cirulli’s statement challenging the implementation of LGBT curriculum in public schools beginning in the 2020-2021 school year. Sexual relationships normally taught in health class with a parental opt-out will now be taught in history class without any conscience objections allowed. The over sexualizing of our students must end.
- Meet the NJ Commissioner of Education to discuss the pornographic illustrations of lesbian sex in Fun Home – a tragicomic. This book was originally assigned as required reading for 12th grade Literature in the Watching Hills School District. In spite of hundreds of outraged parents who signed petitions or testified at school board meetings, the book continues to be available for students as an option of three books to choose from. The over sexualizing of our students must end.
- Organize our first Parental Rights Coalition phone conference. This new focus group will meet monthly to discuss our plan of action to address overly sexualized curriculum across school districts and proposed bills by our NJ State Legislature that violate long held parental rights. Currently, NJ bills A5577/S3968 would permit 13-year-olds to start a treatment of puberty blockers without their parent’s consent or knowledge. The over sexualizing of our students must end.
