This is an urgent request for you to take action before Dec 5th.
On Monday, Nov 25, the New Jersey State Assembly overwhelmingly voted along party lines to grant Planned Parenthood an additional $9.5 million per year. Under the current state budget, Planned Parenthood receives $10.5 million. If the New Jersey State Senate also approves this supplementary measure, the yearly state aid to fund the largest, richest, wealthiest abortion provider in the world will surge to $20 million per year from the pockets of the NJ taxpayer!
This is at the expense of 190 school districts, charitable care in hospitals and cancer organizations who have all experienced drastic cuts in their state aid because of New Jersey’s fiscal crisis. Naturally, the question must be asked – why is there never enough money to educate our children, but always enough money to end the lives of our children?
Planned Parenthood voluntarily removed themselves from federal Title X funding because their core mission is primarily abortion (per the bill sponsor).
- There are 116 Federally Qualified Health Centers in NJ that offer comprehensive women’s healthcare (but not abortion) to low-income women at minimal or no cost. There are only 17 Planned Parenthood clinics.
- The money appropriated for “family planning services” at Planned Parenthood will be allocated to fund the destruction of human life in cities like Camden, East Orange, Elizabeth, Newark, Paterson, and Trenton.
Please send members of the Senate Appropriation Committee a message with just a click on our Action Center.
Your action is needed to tell them to oppose increased funding to Planned Parenthood. Please share this message with others as well while we still have a chance to save lives.
