“I applaud Garden State Equality for not only leading this effort, but for your continued work in helping to craft this curriculum.”

According to their website, Garden State Equality in Asbury Park, is New Jersey’s statewide advocacy organization for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. They boast of implementing 222 laws and policies across our state since their founding in 2004. Unquestionably, they have been successful in influencing elected officials to subvert the traditional family by redefining human sexuality in state and local laws. However, their highest ambition is to force their sexual beliefs onto your children through the contentious LGBT curriculum that they are producing. Starting this winter, pilot programs will begin in selected schools and “curriculum coaches”, as they are referred to by Garden State Equality, will be deployed to school districts to instruct teachers how to assist their organization’s endless obsession with sexuality.

Parents should be concerned that this curriculum is not being developed by academic historians or professors writing a textbook that is peer reviewed for its correctness. It is being crafted by the most powerful LGBT advocacy group in the state. Advocacy groups have an agenda and Garden State Equality does not consider historical accuracy a part of it. The original bill language from February 2018, stated students must be taught an accurate portrayal of historical contributions of LGBT individuals in social studies. The final bill language in December 2018, and that was signed into law by Governor Murphy in Feb 2019, removed the requirement of accuracy and instead asserted students must be taught a positive view of the LGBT community, regardless of the facts.

Our state legislature has violated the public trust by allowing activists with persuasive sexual propaganda to indoctrinate the children of NJ. Therefore, in defense of parental rights, Family Policy Alliance of NJ is rallying parents, pastors and concerned community members across our state to protect students from this radical sexual agenda. I have been speaking in churches and home groups every week throughout our state to make others aware of this deceiving agenda. Currently, we have over 3,500 individuals who have signed our petition to allow parents the right to opt their child out of this curriculum. We have been in discussion with a NJ Assembly member to sponsor and introduce a parental right amendment in the new legislative session in January 2020. Statewide media has featured our efforts on this issue.

Please continue sharing our online petition with your sphere of influence. The greater numbers of people mobilized on this issue; the more serious legislators will hear our concerns.

Thank you for your action and advocacy for the students of NJ!
