ACTION NEEDED: Planned Parenthood Bill Introduced in State Senate

Friends,

One of our victories in the legislative session last year was successfully blocking a Planned Parenthood-supported contraceptive and abortifacient mandate.

Guess what? State Sen. Melissa Wintrow (D-Boise) just introduced the bill again. Abortion advocates are nothing if not persistent.

Senate Bill 1050 requires health insurance companies to cover a twelve-month supply of “contraceptives” — including abortifacients like “Plan B” and “Ella” that end a pregnancy after conception by preventing a fertilized egg from implanting and receiving the nutrition it needs to survive!

Many employers and employees have religious objections to spending their health care dollars on drugs that end the life of a preborn child after conception.

Consider the stories of Hobby Lobby (an arts and crafts retail company owned by an evangelical family) and the Little Sisters of the Poor (a Catholic religious order of nuns). Both morally objected to a similar contraceptive mandate imposed by Obamacare. They spent years in court fighting for an exemption to the mandate so they would no longer have to violate their religious beliefs!

We need your help to defeat this bill again. Send a message to the state senators on the Senate Commerce and Human Resources Committee asking them to vote against this anti-life and anti-religious freedom legislation!

It only takes one minute of your time, so please use our Action Center to send your message to key senators right now!

Standing for life and religious freedom,
