We have an urgent request for your help.

The Colorado legislature has introduced a package of radical, pro-abortion bills called the Reproductive Health Equity Act (RHEA). Senate committees are hearing these bills today, and the full Senate will likely consider them later this week. Your voice is needed to oppose them!

One of these bills, SB 190, aims to shut down Pregnancy Resource Centers (PRCs). PRCs provide vital resources to women experiencing a crisis pregnancy, including baby supplies, counseling, and ultrasound scans. It also bans abortion pill reversal treatment, which is a safe and proven way to attempt to reverse the effects of abortion-inducing drugs.

A second bill, SB 188, would mandate that hospitals and medical facilities retain an employee even if the employee was found to have violated the employers’ ethical standards by providing prohibited services such as abortion or transgender procedures. A Catholic hospital, for example, would not be allowed to end employment of a physician who performed abortions at the hospital.

Finally, a third bill, SB 189, attempts to circumvent Colorado’s prohibition against public funding of abortion by requiring that the insurance plans that cover most Coloradans include full abortion coverage.

These bills would advance a radical, dangerous, anti-life agenda. Send a message to your senator today requesting that they vote “No” on the Reproductive Health Equity Act – it only takes a moment using the form below.

Now is the time to speak up to protect the sanctity of life and medical ethics in Colorado!

Sincerely,
Joseph Kohm

March is Women’s History Month, and we are excited to celebrate the extraordinary accomplishments and successes of women. So many women—like Susan B. Anthony and Justice Amy Coney Barrett—have fought for the right to vote, to excel in their fields, to overcome odds, to win national championships and to protect the innocence of the unborn.

However, President Joe Biden this month paints a very different picture of women’s rights in our country in his proclamation on Women’s History Month. He states that the Dobbs decision is a systematic barrier to equal opportunity and recommits to defending abortion, including dangerous chemical abortion pills.

The proclamation’s regrettable call to action for Congress is “to pass a federal law restoring the protections of Roe v. Wade so all women in every State have the right to choose.”

And, Congress quickly responded to the President’s call. Forty-eight Senators introduced the so-called “Women’s Health Protection Act,” which would expand abortion until birth for any reason were it to pass.

Just this past week, President Biden also released his annual budget, which again commits his administration to the destruction of life and calls on Congress to pass this legislation that allows for abortion on demand until birth. Here are a few of the more concerning highlights from his budget we wanted to share with you:

❌Commits to continue fighting for abortions and gender affirming care at Veterans’ Administration clinics

❌Increases funding for the mis-guided United Nations Population Fund

❌Increases funding to Planned Parenthood through Title X funding

❌Touts his two Executive Orders and Presidential Memorandum that expand access to chemical abortions, undermine the conscience rights of medical doctors, and expand access for those traveling out of state for abortions to circumvent their own state laws

It is still unclear whether the administration recognizes what defines a woman as they set out to undermine women’s sports and health care, at the same time as they advance radical gender ideology in our schools.

But, one thing is clear. The Biden administration and the Left have made abortion for any reason, at any time the ONE thing that defines a woman’s ability to succeed. We wholeheartedly disagree.

Women deserve better.

Women have God-given unique characteristics that should be celebrated this month, not undermined by a radical mantra from the Left that has refused to define a woman as anything but a biological woman. This has left women vulnerable in sports competitions, the prison system and in schools as they are forced to embrace biological men as a female peer.

Together, we will continue to celebrate the great achievements that have been made by women regardless of what a small minority promotes. This month, be sure to celebrate the great accomplishments of the moms, daughters, and sisters in your own life!

Sincerely,

Ruth Ward

Your action has led to a big pro-life development!!

You may recall that immediately following the New Year holiday the Biden administration announced that it would begin to allow pharmacies to dispense dangerous chemical abortion pills, potentially turning every pharmacy and grocery store into an abortion business – something that had never been done before.

The new guidance would permanently establish a path for doctors to phone-in abortion pills for patients – a very risky and dangerous practice for women in their first trimester of pregnancy.

Since the guidance was released in January, we have been asking our readers to contact some of the largest grocery and pharmacy chains across the nation to share their concerns and to respectfully ask that they not become an abortion business.

As of today, tens of thousands of grassroots messages have been sent, with more coming in every day.

We are excited to share that Walgreens is the first to announce that they will NOT be selling abortion pills or shipping abortion pills to over 20 states – including some where abortion remains legal. This is a direct result of actions by our national coalition and state attorneys general as well as a massive grassroots effort from readers like you.

Walgreens specifically noted that pro-life activism played a role in their decision.

That means that the actions taken by you, our readers, had an impact in this decision.

Already, Walgreens has come under attack from the Left for this decision. California Governor Newsom has stated his intention to cut off any state ties with Walgreens, despite the fact that Walgreens still intends to distribute abortion pills in over half the country. The Left will stop at nothing to undermine the safety and well-being of mothers and their unborn children.

If you took action, thank you – we appreciate your engagement and participation. The battle is far from over, but we press on encouraged by news like this.

It is worth noting that after Roe, pro-life activism has taken on a new and heightened importance.

It is because of the Dobbs decision, that states are now free to protect life like never before and to push back against the Biden administration and corporate America’s proliferation of abortion. Your pro-life voice has more influence in these matters now than it ever had after Roe was handed down in 1973.

None of the other grocers or pharmacies have taken this step. If you have not already done so, you can still send them a message by clicking HERE.

Continue to encourage local and large retail pharmacies and grocers to stand up against mounting pressure to provide these dangerous chemical abortion pills. And know that your voice is making a difference!

We have an urgent request for your help on two bills in the Minnesota legislature.

We need your help protecting Minnesota’s next generations from woke ideology. The Minnesota legislature will soon consider two radical and dangerous bills: HF 91, a bill destroying all pro-life laws in the state, and HF 146, a bill removing children from their parents if one or both of the parents opposes transgender ideology.

These woke bills would endanger young Minnesotans, born and unborn, and would destroy parental rights here and in other states. Help us oppose them by making your voice heard!

HF 91 would wipe away all existing laws protecting unborn life in our state, such as the Born Alive Infants Protection Act, which ensures that babies born alive during an abortion are provided with all necessary medical care. It would clear the way for a Minnesota with no restrictions, even bipartisan common-sense ones, on abortion.

HF 146 could take children struggling with gender dysphoria away from their parents if they refuse to enable harmful “gender-affirming care” for their kids. Like California’s infamous bill SB 107, it would authorize Minnesota courts to take emergency jurisdiction over children from other states so that they can be subjected to permanent disfigurement in the name of transgender ideology.

Born or unborn, kids deserve to be kept safe from predatory medical procedures. Along with our friends at the Minnesota Family Council, who have worked tirelessly to oppose these bills, we need your help to protect them.

Please send a message to your legislators today telling them to oppose HF 91 and HF 146.

It only takes a minute using the form below. By doing so, you will help ensure Minnesota law continues to protect children.

Please also consider attending Minnesota’s Pro-Life Advocacy Day on Tuesday, February 28th. Organized by our friends at United for Life, this event will bring together pro-life Minnesotans and pro-life organizations and church bodies from across the state. Their goal is to care for women, children, and families by inspiring legislators to fight for the fundamental rights of all human beings, from conception to natural death. United, we fight for justice–for mothers, for children, and for families. Please register here in order to be guaranteed a T-shirt and legislator meetings.

Sincerely,
Joseph Kohm

When you think about abortion, you might imagine a surgical abortion taking place in a clinical setting.

But there’s another way an abortion can be performed, and tragically it can be done in a living room, bathroom, or college dorm room. It’s called chemical abortion, and it’s a two-drug method where a woman takes pills at home, often by herself, that lead to the death and loss of her baby.

Chemical abortions come with a high risk of complications such as hemorrhage, sepsis, and infection. In fact, they have 4 times the likelihood of complications in comparison with surgical abortion.

Concerningly, the FDA recently decided to allow local pharmacies to carry these pills. But the good news is that pro-life groups are fighting back to protect women and the unborn.

In our live video today, Dr. Christina Francis, a pro-life OB/GYN and CEO-elect of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, talks about the risks of chemical abortions and what she’s doing to protect life. Also hear from Erik Baptist, who serves as senior counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom, as he explains a new lawsuit to hold the FDA accountable for failing to protect women.

Today, newborns are not given equal medical treatment.

Why?

Because when a baby is born alive following a botched abortion, some doctors have allowed that living, breathing child to die right there. Thankfully, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act in January with only one Democrat supporting the bill, and now it is time for the Senate to put in place common sense protections for all newborns.

Only 10 states are even required to report on instances of babies born alive following an abortion, so we know the numbers are even higher than what is public today. The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which is being led in the Senate by Senators James Lankford (OK) and John Thune (SD), requires that the medical community provide proper medical care to all newborn patients, including those who survived a gruesome abortion procedure. And babies do survive late-term abortions

Abortion survivors are speaking out on this issue, letting the world know that they exist and that their lives are worth fighting for. The organization Abortion Survivors Network has over 600 abortion survivors in their network and has rallied around proposals such as Born-Alive because they understand lives like their own are at stake once again this Congress.

How can you help?

Your Senator needs to hear from you on this matter. Tell them we must ensure the law protects ALL newborn children in our nation

Dear Friends,

I am writing about a matter of life or death—literally.

For those who don’t know me, I previously served at Minnesota Family Council advocating for life and family values on behalf of Minnesota families in St. Paul. Now, I serve at MFC’s national ally, Family Policy Alliance.

I was heartbroken to hear from MFC about the devastating abortion bill moving through the Minnesota legislature right now.

The Protect Reproductive Options Act (“PRO” Act) would make Minnesota an outlier in the world—aligned with only countries like North Korea and China—with no legal protection for children in the womb.

No legal protection for the youngest human lives—not even in the 9th month of pregnancy. It’s truly barbaric and has no place in Minnesota.

Tell your legislators to stop the PRO Act now!

As if it weren’t bad enough to destroy infants in the womb, the “PRO” Act would also endanger their mothers. Late-term abortions are far riskier for women, and the bill provides not even basic health and safety standards for women when it comes to abortion facilities or drug protocols.

To advance a rabid political agenda, those championing the “PRO” Act will throw women and their children under the bus.

It gets worse yet. “PRO” Act would also endanger children who are outside the womb. The bill’s sweeping language includes children in their “right” to access abortions and even sterilization, presumably without requiring parental notification or consent. This leaves young girls vulnerable to the whims of traffickers and abusers looking for a “quick fix” to hide any evidence of their abuse.

Tell your legislators to stop the PRO Act now!

This dangerous legislation is moving through the Minnesota Senate NOW.

Here’s where you come in. It’s true that the leadership of the Democratic party relentlessly pushes the abortion agenda and that the Minnesota Senate is Democrat-led. But it’s NOT true that all Democrats are married to the radical, abortion-on-demand, up-to-birth position their leaders have taken.

Only one Minnesota Senator needs to vote against the “PRO” Act for it to be stopped—and that Senator could be yours.

There’s no time to lose and, believe me, it’s worth the 60 seconds to send a message through our action center asking your Senator to VOTE NO on “PRO” Act.

Your voice may be the voice that encourages that ONE Senator to vote no.

Please take 60 seconds to stop one of the most radical abortion policies in the entire country from moving forward in our beloved Minnesota. Minnesota lives are truly at stake.

For life & for Minnesota,

Autumn Leva
Senior Vice President of Strategy

This past weekend, pro-lifers came together on the Sanctity of Life Sunday to remember the lives lost as a result of Roe v. Wade that was decided exactly 50 years ago. Simultaneously, we celebrated the complete overturn of Roe at the annual March for Life in Washington and resolved to continue our fight to make abortion unthinkable in America!

Sadly, the Biden administration used the Sanctity of Life Sunday to release a memo that protects chemical abortion pills and those that dispense these pills—instead of the women they purport to protect.

This is unacceptable, and states like Florida are stepping up.

Let’s lay out a timeline:

January 3: FDA allows pharmacists to dispense dangerous abortion drugs for the first time and to permanently do away with the long-standing practice of these pills being taken in person at a health facility.

January 10: Governor Ron DeSantis and the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration announced to all state pharmacies that they cannot, in compliance with state law, dispense chemical abortion pills.

January 13: Twenty-two state attorneys general sent a letter to FDA Commissioner Robert Califf expressing opposition to the FDA’s guidance.

January 22: On Sanctity of Life Sunday, President Biden declares these states’ actions to protect women as having “sowed fear” and instructs the FDA, DOJ, DHS and HHS to remove “potential barriers” to chemical abortion.

We are very thankful for Governor DeSantis and the 22 attorneys general for doing all they can to protect women and their unborn children from harm and for stopping the administration from circumventing their states’ rights.

You too can be a part of fighting back!

Can you help put a stop to the Administration’s relentless attacks on life? You can send these messages in just moments on our Action Center, then share it with family and friends who will act too!

  1. Please ask your congressman to cosponsor two critical pieces of legislation that will protect women against the Biden administration’s attempts to push these drugs on our states.

  2. If you have not done so already, please contact leading pharmacies and grocers, asking them to not participate in the FDA’s agenda to carelessly provide dangerous abortion drugs to women.

The Biden Administration will stop at nothing to ensure there is unfettered access to abortion at all stages of pregnancy. In the process, they are attempting to prevent states from acting in good faith to protect the lives and health of women in their states.

The truth is that women who use abortion pills are 50 percent more likely to visit an ER than with a surgical abortion. As of June 2022, there were sadly 28 reported maternal deaths and over 4,200 reported adverse effects, including hemorrhaging and infections. And, of course, these pills end the life of the precious child in the womb.

Please consider sending reaching out to your Congressional member and pharmacies. Thank you for staying engaged in the fight!

For life,

Ruth Ward
Director, Government Relations

This year, Family Policy Alliance staff joined thousands of friends at the annual National March for Life in our nation’s capital. This special gathering has been taking place for 50 years and is an exciting day of rallying support for unborn babies and their mothers.

2022 unraveled the fateful decision of Roe v. Wade and provided a real opportunity for state and federal legislators to advance safer laws that protect both moms and the unborn child.

And, now, we are ready for 2023.

The theme for the March this year was: Next Steps: Marching in a Post-Roe America. Many of you are asking since Roe was overturned: what are the next steps After Roe?

Thankfully, FPA and many of our state-level partners have been preparing a long time for this moment. We know that it will take the collective effort of many groups and individuals, much like yourself, to really make a change in the hearts and minds of Americans and in the laws that govern our everyday life.

As you read this, DOZENS of lawmakers across the country have partnered with FPA and the network of state family policy councils to introduce HUNDREDS of both federal and state-level pro-life bills in their legislature. We are proud to support these measures and will continue to advance other solutions to support moms and to end elective abortions.

In the end, YOU are what makes a difference in this movement to end abortion. Every call or email you make to a legislator, every hour you volunteer at a pregnancy center, every person you share the message of life with—these are things that can make a change.

YOU saw Roe overturned in your lifetime. Now we wholeheartedly believe you can be a part of making abortion unthinkable in America.

So, even if you missed the national March for Life in person, continue to fight for the unborn!

We wanted to make sure you were equipped to do just that by sharing Conversations with Craig, the newest podcast produced by Family Policy Alliance! This is your go-to podcast for all things family policy and how to talk to your friends and family about these issues. In our newest podcast episode, our CEO, Craig DeRoche, and Jeanne Mancini, the President of the March for Life Education and Defense Fund, talk about what makes this year’s march so unique – now that Roe is overturned. Check it out on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or Google Podcasts.

We hope you enjoy the podcast and the pictures (above) our team took while out at the March for Life on Friday in Washington. We were extremely encouraged by the strong showing of Americans, especially young people, energized to see life cherished and families restored, and we hope to see YOU at the March next year.

In case you missed it, I also wanted to remind you that THIS Sunday is Sanctity of Life Sunday. You can view FPA’s full email about this Sunday here. The bottom line is FPA is encouraging all churches to pray that life would be cherished. We’ve listed some graphics and prayer points below this message for you to share with your church (you can click on each one to download a Hi-Res version as well). Please take a moment to share these with your pastor for this upcoming Sunday.

If you’re pro-life, you may know about the annual March for Life in Washington DC. Perhaps you’ve even attended the march yourself!

If you don’t know, here’s what it is: Every year in January, tens of thousands of people come together to celebrate life and call for action to end abortion in America. The March for Life has occurred for almost 5 decades, but this year’s march is a little different than the rest.

In the past, marchers would go to the Supreme Court to pray for the overturn of Roe v. Wade. Last year, that prayer was finally answered.

The overturn of Roe v. Wade has changed the conversation on abortion. While we celebrate the lives saved by the overturn of Roe, a new journey has begun: we are on a mission to fully protect life federally and in every state.

In our newest video, Jeanne Mancini, the President of the March for Life Education and Defense Fund, joins Craig DeRoche to talk about what makes this year’s march so unique – and why we’re still marching even with Roe overturned.
