Finding the right words have never been a problem for me. I’ve ghostwritten countless speeches, statements, and mass communications for officials, companies, and various other people in power. In this job, I write, I speak, I communicate.
At the risk of seeming too vulnerable, I’m struggling for the right words.
It’s difficult to know what to say to my six-year-old son – faced with the prospect of turning 10 before we’ll have the opportunity to defeat an administration that will advance death, destruction, and socialism.
I used the defeat of Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue – who he personally prayed for every day – as a teaching moment for him, but I felt a mixture of emotion and pain throughout the day. I’m not sure how clear I was as I tried to convey to him that God doesn’t always answer prayer as we expect but that his plan is always good.
The right words have similarly failed to come since I watched in horror the events unfold at the Capitol on Wednesday. The rioting and violence were utterly despicable, and a struggle (and consistent failure) to find the right words has led to this email being started countless different ways and numerous social media post drafts being deleted.
I feel like I’m supposed to have the answers – as a man, a dad, and as the leader of this organization. I’ll admit to you that I don’t. I’ll tell you I’m discouraged and in pain. I’m hurting, and my emotions are raw. The images I’ve seen on TV will have ramifications for years to come, and the punch-in-the-gut from the runoff elections will be tough to get over.
While I don’t have all the answers, I know the Bible commands me to be hopeful and joyful.
I know that my resolve to transform our state for His glory has never been stronger, and that there is no circumstance where our faithfulness to be in the arena should wane.
I know that – despite immense challenges – the data shows that Georgia is not lost. With the right strategies and the right message, the ingredients are there to take our state back.
I know that, when the legislative session gavels in on Monday, the majority of our legislators share our values. We WILL make gains for the issues we care about.
Our organization is primed to be part of the solution, and I’m sure that the Lord is leading us on the right path. We are committed to forging a Georgia where God is honored, and I promise no one will work harder toward that end than I will.
This is the moment where the Church in Georgia says “enough!” takes a stand and reclaims our state for the Gospel. It is time to wake up – revival is on the doorstep.
It is human nature to get frustrated in times like this and to get angry or walk away. That is entirely inconsistent with our biblical mandate. Even as we search for the right words and right answers, we know that now is not the time to shrink back.
The culture has never needed the Gospel more.
The culture has never needed an organization committed to a Georgia where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive, and life is cherished more.
Christendom has never needed believers committed to glorifying God and loving their neighbor more.
We need you, frankly. This work matters, and now is the time.
I’ve seen dark days recently. But, I cling to hope.
I choose to live with joy because He has given me every reason to. I refuse to make politics a god, and I refuse to let earthly defeats curtail my lasting witness. I hope you’ll join me in these commitments.
We have work to do, my friends. I’m committed to it. Are you?
Never More Committed,
President and Executive Director
PS. I’m leaning on Scripture during this time. God’s promises allow us to truly live differently in the midst of great struggles than the non-believer does. This rendition of “It is well with my soul” is a song I find encouraging when I feel the weight of the spiritual battles we fight.
Georgia, are you ready to give the gift that would keep on giving this Christmas? Are you ready to Save the Senate?
Every other conservative across the country can merely complain about the looming prospects our nation faces. With early voting underway, you have the opportunity to DO SOMETHING!
There are 8 days left for in-person voting: today (December 21), tomorrow (December 22), December 23, December 28, December 29, December 30, December 31, and (Election Day) January 5.
It’s all-hands-on-deck, and the nation is looking to US to vote, get others to vote, and work relentlessly to share our Loeffler-Perdue message until the last vote is cast.
Since his election in 2014, David Perdue has been the conservative outsider we needed, and Kelly Loeffler – in just one year – has already earned the distinction as the nation’s Most Conservative US Senator. Make no mistake: both of these Senators have earned your vote.
Yet, this isn’t a normal election. Because, as things stand now, we’re looking at the possibility of socialist Kamala Harris as the Senate’s tiebreaker, the winners of these crucial Senate seats could determine whether:
- The Green New Deal can be imposed on the nation
- FAR Left cabinet appointments can be confirmed
- Court-packing can occur or radical activist judges can make it to the bench
- Nationwide mandates and closures can be upheld
- Abortion on demand and massive increases in Planned Parenthood funding will be passed
- Further radicalization of our schools will be tolerated
- And much, much more…
Everything is on the line. Our Economy. Our National Defense. The Right to Life. Our Religious Freedom. Our Constitutional Freedoms. Everything.
Never has there been a time when the 49 other states were so dependent on the actions of one. We must rise to the occasion and send Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue back to Washington. Our nation simply cannot afford Radical Liberal Raphael Warnock and Socialist Jon Ossoff.
If you have not yet voted, actively make plans to do so. Don’t delay. Make sure your vote is cast!
And, if you have interest in supporting our efforts to turn out Christian conservative voters in this most critical election, please consider a generous donation to help us Hold the Line here in Georgia!
I know many are discouraged. I am too! But, now is not the time to retreat or get fatalistic. Now is the time to double down, work tirelessly, and deliver a (belated) Christmas gift the entire nation can enjoy – a Senate that preserve our nation!
For the Senate,
President and Executive Director
P.S.Have you voted yet? There are just 8 in-person voting days remaining, including Election Day on January 5th. Make sure you get to the polls, bring your friends, neighbors, family members, or anyone you can find who will vote the right way. It’s going to take all of us, but let’s win this thing!
“Now we change Georgia, then we change America!” That’s what Sen. Chuck Schumer (left), the Democrat leader of the Senate, said about two critical U.S. Senate races in Georgia.
As we continue to pray for truth and accuracy in the presidential election, two other races are looming that will determine much of what happens in D.C. over the next two years.
Two razor-thin runoffs in Georgia will determine which party controls the U.S. Senate.
- Will it be the more conservative party that confirmed Amy Coney Barrett to the U.S. Supreme Court and gave us new hope in the fight for religious freedom and the right to life?
- Or will it be extremists on the Left that push an anti-life and socially destructive agenda?
The candidates in these races are polar opposites. Republican senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue have proven their commitment to life and family values by their votes on the floor of the Senate.
Their opponents? Jon Ossoff (running against Perdue) is a longtime darling of the progressive movement and a radical on social issues. Raphael Warnock (running against Loeffler) even uses the Bible to support his abortion-without-limits position. Both Ossoff and Warnock are endorsed by Planned Parenthood and by the leading opponents of religious freedom.
How can you make a difference? Help us turn out pro-life voters!
Because this is a special election that comes on the heels of the holidays, the biggest issue is turnout – reaching people who tend to think like you and me but who are less consistent about voting.
Using the latest voter tools – and working with our on-the-ground allies at Family Policy Alliance of Georgia – we have identified hundreds of thousands of voters to reach with mobile ads, texting, and more.
There is no time to waste. Early voting starts this Monday, and Election Day is less than four weeks away (Jan. 5).
P.S. The progressive movement is raising millions of dollars to fund the two Democratic candidates. Help counter them and make the difference by turning out voters who think like you and me. Let’s not let the Left have the Senate!
Do you remember when David Perdue ran in 2014, promising to be a conservative outsider? We had hope that he would be what he said he would, that the principles he espoused on the campaign trail would translate to the US Senate, and that his knack for problem solving would be an asset to a federal government all-too-full of career politicians.
In his first term, David Perdue has been exactly that – a Senator delivering conservative results.
Do you remember Jon Ossoff? Yeah, he’s tough to forget. The San Francisco bought-and-paid-for candidate that was a national laughingstock before Stacey Abrams set a new standard for delusion. He’s back with the same phony resume, liberal agenda, and boatloads of cash.
As a candidate for US Senate, Jon Ossoff hasn’t changed a bit. He’s still dramatically out of touch with reality, out of touch with Georgia, and utterly unqualified. But, he still has the money to buy an awful lot of votes.
Make no mistake about it: the contrasts between these two candidates are severe!
Experience and accomplishment versus fluff and silliness. Business savvy versus entitlement mentality. Serious versus downright goofy. Conservative versus socialist. Georgia versus San Francisco.
Just as Georgia is a swing state in the bid for the White House, our state is front and center in the battle for the US Senate. We are the only state in the country with two US Senate seats open, and the Left would sure love to take both seats. They’ve been aiming to take out David Perdue since the day he was sworn in and we cannot let that happen!
David Perdue is a conservative, a problem solver, a pro-life advocate, and a leader who believes in limited government and opportunity for you and your family. It’s time to make sure he has 6 more years to fight for us!
Meanwhile, Jon Ossoff is loyal to Planned Parenthood and a puppet of Chuck Schumer. A leftist advocate for San Francisco, not us. It’s time to end his political career.
My friends, the choice is clear. We have a strong ally versus a committed adversary. Yet, in this battle, our opponent will not lack funding, will have a fawning media at his beck and call, and will have all the resources and support the institutional Left can bring to bear.
The consequences of this election are stark, and the need for our engagement is great. That’s why we’re proud to endorse Senator David Perdue and ask you to partner with us in re-electing this great statesman!
President and Executive Director
