Eric Teetsel, President of Family Policy Alliance of Kansas, Statement on Kris Kobach Defeat

Topeka—With the Kansas governor race called for Laura Kelly, Eric Teetsel, President of Family Policy Alliance of Kansas, released the following statement:

“We are extremely disappointed to see the result for Secretary of State Kris Kobach tonight. Governor-elect Laura Kelly is an enemy of life, family, and religious freedom. During her campaign she pledged to rollback protections for the unborn and faith-based adoption and foster care ministries, which would be consistent with her long record of opposing the values most Kansans hold dear. Family Policy Alliance of Kansas will never stop fighting for those values, no matter who sits in the Governor’s office. We look forward to working with the legislature to advance our pro-life, pro-family, pro-freedom priorities and fight back against Laura Kelly’s progressive agenda.” –Eric Teetsel, President & Executive Director, Family Policy Alliance of Kansas
