Family Policy Alliance Urges Senate to Oppose Judge Jackson’s Confirmation

Today, the Senate will vote to confirm Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to be an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. Family Policy Alliance urges Senators to oppose her confirmation.

Statement from Nicole Hudgens, Government Affairs for Family Policy Alliance:

“Judge Jackson may be highly credentialed, but her statements both recent and past raise concerns about how she would rule in the nation’s highest court and how her decisions would affect women, children, and the rights of everyday Americans.

“While she has declined to take a position on whether individuals have natural rights, she easily affirmed her belief that abortion is a constitutional right. She could not define the word ‘woman,’ and says she does not know when life begins, or whether preborn children feel pain. And, her previous rulings on child pornography cases raise grave concerns.

“The confirmation vote of a U.S. Supreme Court Justice will forever impact American lives and the lives of future generations. We urge the Senate to oppose her confirmation.”

Members of the public may send a message to their Senators through Family Policy Alliance’s Action Center.
