New Mexicans to Gather for Annual “Sanctity of Life Awareness and Unity Day” March and Rally

SANTA FE — Today, pro-life New Mexicans from across the state will gather in Santa Fe for the annual “Sanctity of Life Awareness and Unity Day” March and Rally. The event is one of the state’s largest pro-life gatherings each year, bringing Christians from all denominations together for a day of unity and prayer.

“We are honored to again be partnering with the Archdiocese of Santa Fe for this important event,” said Vince Torres, Executive Director of Family Policy Alliance of New Mexico. “Last year, as Christians, we successfully lobbied to defeat the radical abortion bill, House Bill 51, and dangerous assisted suicide legislation. That was just a first step, however. We must now actively engage and promote legislation that values life and protects the most vulnerable among us, including the elderly, the ill, and the pre-born children of New Mexico.”

An evangelical prayer and worship service will take place at the Capitol Rotunda at 10:30 a.m., followed by a lunch for pastors and legislators. A noontime Mass will be held at the Cathedral Basilica in Downtown Santa Fe, and at 1:15 p.m., all attendees will gather at the Cathedral for the Life March and Rally at the Capitol.
