LEN DEO

Vice President, Development

Len Deo is the founder and former president of the New Jersey Family Policy Council (NJFPC), a public policy education, research, and advocacy organization whose mission was to promote family values by creating culture changers at home, in the church, in the voting booth and in the public square.

In his current role with Family Policy Alliance, he builds and maintains ministry partner relationships, helping grow FPA and provide support to state allies.

Born in Newark and virtually a lifelong resident of Morris County, NJ, Len has been active in business, church, and community organizations over the past 50 years. Len’s background was at a small family business, founded by Gregory Deo in 1969. Having been in the retail industry for 25 years, as president of Flowers & Gifts, Inc., a firm of 40 employees in the 80’s and early 90’s, he oversaw the areas of finance, administration, and marketing. The company was recognized as a top sending member from 1982 in the FTD organization, a 20,000-member group through 2005. For many of those years, the company ranked in the Top 100.

Having seen a great need for the reinstatement of biblical values and Christian ethics in the public square, in 1995, he left that family business to found the New Jersey Family Policy Council which continues to serve the Christian Community in NJ, now as Family Policy Alliance of New Jersey. FPA of NJ’s vision is for the Garden State to be a place where religious freedom flourishes, families thrive and life is cherished so that once again GOD is honored.

Len and his wife have three married children who have blessed them with nine grandchildren.
