On Saturday, I witnessed something powerful that I’ll never forget. In the heart of Hollywood, hundreds of Christians stood shoulder to shoulder and peacefully shut down one of the most famous streets in America with worship, prayer, and truth.
We were there as part of the final stop on the May Day USA tour with Her Voice MVMT and Ross Johnston Ministries. The city of Los Angeles denied us a permit for a public worship and evangelism event despite approving the city’s upcoming Pride Festival.
Despite months of applications and back-and-forth with city officials, our request was stonewalled. But instead of backing down, we stepped up. We made a plan. And we walked out in faith.
As we stood in the crosswalks of Hollywood Boulevard, we acted not in hate but in hope, believing that the First Amendment is not reserved just for those who shout down truth but also for those who speak life.
We worshipped, prayed, and shared the Gospel. People stopped to listen. Some mocked, others thanked us, and many recorded what they saw: a people unashamed of Jesus and unafraid to take a stand.
This wasn’t about politics. We are the Church called not just to gather inside our buildings but to go into the streets with God’s love.
Let’s make our voices heard. Let’s remind America that the Church is not dead. It is alive, bold, and ready to stand.
