BREAKING: DeSantis Protects Children from Drag and Transgender Procedures

New laws shield children from sexualized performances and irreversible transgender interventions

Today, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed Senate Bill 1438, which prevents private businesses and government entities from exposing children to sexually explicit performances, such as drag shows.

Meridian Baldacci, Spokesperson for Family Policy Alliance, responded:

“Children deserve to have their innocence preserved. When children are exposed to sexualized adult performances, that innocence is irrevocably stripped away. Florida’s new law is paving the way to protect children, and we are grateful that they have joined the wave of states protecting the innocence of our youngest citizens.

“We applaud our friends at Florida Family Policy Council for shepherding this bill through the process, and thank Governor DeSantis for signing it into law! Florida just became even safer for children and families.”

Governor DeSantis also signed SB 254, which protects children from irreversible transgender interventions including puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and mutilating surgeries.
