When we put our reputation behind a candidate, you can rest assured that we have carefully vetted them and we trust they will stand for our shared values. Join us in lifting these candidates up in prayer — if elected they will carry the banner for family values on behalf of New Jerseyans to the Capitol in Trenton, and in Washington, D.C.

In selected races across the state, we choose to recommend candidates who indicate that they share our values and incumbents who have stood strong on many of our issues. We believe that these individuals will have the courage and conviction to stand for what is right. Recommendations are given to candidates who are seeking office for the first time or for incumbents that have sponsored legislation we support.

SHOULD CHRISTIANS BE INVOLVED IN POLITICS?
Absolutely, if we understand our biblical role to influence society for good. God’s Word doesn’t exclude Christians from politics, in fact, it requires us to engage in all areas of culture—including the political sphere.
We’ve created a practical guide that explains in more detail the Christian’s responsibility in voting. We encourage you to share it with your friends and help get Christians to the polls.

THE KEYS TO OUR SUCCESS.
Family Policy Alliance picks important races where the analysis shows that we can make the difference.
The following reflects our approach:

CHOOSING WISELY
Our team—comprised of experienced political strategists, data analysts and state leaders deeply connected to the grassroots—analyzes pivotal elections and looks in detail at the impact that winning the race could have (such as changing control of a legislature) AND whether Family Policy Alliance involvement has strong potential to change the outcome.

SPENDING STRATEGICALLY
We avoid wasteful spending designed to make a big splash, such as repetitive TV ads. Rather, Family Policy Alliance “microtargets” specific voters with messages designed to both motivate them to vote and persuade them on who to vote for. This approach is not only far more economical, but also much more effective.

TRAINING FOR THE FUTURE
Through our sister organization, Family Policy Foundation, we train Statesmen—Christian men and women serving in politics with a call to bring about transformation from the inside. Once trained, Family Policy Alliance helps keep them in office and provides ongoing support, so they can advance policy on your behalf.
