Shelly was born and raised in South Dakota where she raised her family and began her working journey. She began as a stay-at-home mom and entered the workforce when her children were all of school age. Over a 30-year period she has worked as a restaurant server, a front desk manager and myriad assorted administrative support positions that led her to her current position with Christians Engaged/Family Policy Alliance Foundation.
Shelly attended Charis Bible College’s Extension School for three years while working in Dallas, TX. This is where she met Bunni Pounds and eventually became employed with the nonprofit organization Christians Engaged, which is now a dba of Family Policy Alliance Foundation.
Throughout her journey, Shelly has led bible studies and worship, has been integrally involved with her church families and seeks daily to follow wherever the Lord leads. She has four children and four amazing grandchildren whom she loves dearly. Though her given name is Michelle and is often called Shelly, Gramma is her favorite name to be called by!
