As we remember the sacrifice of Jesus on Good Friday, let me encourage you with the following words from my friend, colleague and Christians Engaged president Bunni Pounds. As she reminds us, the tomb is empty!
While we anticipate Sunday, we already know what we will celebrate: The light of Christ has overcome the darkness, He has risen and continues to change lives today.
Blessings,

Dear Friends –
Today, on this Good Friday, we pause to remember the greatest act of love the world has ever known—Jesus, the perfect Son of God, willingly laying down His life for us.
He bore our sin, our shame, and our brokenness on the cross… not because we earned it, but because His love and pursuit of us is relentless. And as we look toward Resurrection Sunday, we are reminded: our hope is alive. The tomb is empty, and Jesus is victorious.
At Christians Engaged and Family Policy Alliance Foundation, this Gospel is not just our foundation—it’s what drives us and the work of our ministries. It’s why we pray fervently. It’s why we vote righteously. It’s why we engage boldly in our cities, states, and nation. Because Jesus died and rose again, we can’t be silent, and we must share this good news with the nation.
In a world that feels increasingly dark, this weekend reminds us that the light has already overcome the darkness. And as engaged believers, we carry that light into every sphere of influence.
As you reflect on His sacrifice and rejoice in His resurrection, know this:Â you are part of a movement of believers across America committed to bringing the hope of the Gospel into the public square.
We love you!
Wishing you and your family a blessed Resurrection weekend.
