ACT NOW: Help Bring School Choice to Kansas!

May 7, 2025

Dear Friend,

We have an urgent request for your help: Congress needs to pass the Educational Choice for Children Act (ECCA) through the budget reconciliation process, and we need you to encourage two key Kansas congressional leaders to support it!

School choice is needed now more than ever, as the rise and fall of the Department of Education has taught us. But millions of students around the United States are, unfortunately, trapped in underperforming public schools, with no alternative and no help from their state government.

But the ECCA is a beacon of hope—it is the premier piece of national school choice legislation in Congress. It establishes a federal tax credit program that funds scholarships for K-12 students to attend schools of their parents’ choice—whether private or homeschool. By providing $10 billion annually in tax credits to support donations to scholarship-granting organizations, the ECCA enables families, especially those of modest means, to access educational environments that nurture faith, character, and academic excellence.

Not only do students need the ECCA, but parents do, too. If you’re concerned about what’s going on in radical states like Colorado, where the legislature is seriously considering passing a law that would strip child custody from parents who don’t affirm their child’s self-chosen “gender identity,” then you know the ECCA is critical to giving parents real choice for where to send their kids to school.

Your voice can help finally bring school choice to every American family!

Two Kansans will play a huge role in passing the ECCA because of the committees they serve on.

  • Please call Senator Roger Marshall’s office at 202-224-4774, and urge him to support the ECCA during the budget reconciliation process.
  • And, especially if you live in his district, please call Representative Ron Estes’ office as well at 202-225-6216, and encourage him to ensure the ECCA makes it out of committee to be considered in the reconciliation process.

Thank you for making a big difference by reaching out!

Sincerely,

Dylan Jeremiah
