Dear Friend,
We have an urgent request for your help: Congress needs to pass the Educational Choice for Children Act (ECCA) through the budget reconciliation process, and we need you to encourage two key Iowa congressional leaders to support it!
The ECCA is the premier piece of national school choice legislation in Congress. Thankfully, Iowa has already passed a state-level school choice law. But the ECCA is still critically needed to make up the costs of education which your state-level law may not cover. Parents know the educational environment that is best for their children, and if Iowa’s school choice program cannot fund the full cost of it, the ECCA would likely provide for the remainder.
But millions of students around the United States are, unfortunately, trapped in underperforming public schools in states without a school choice law. The ECCA is a beacon of hope to them, and your voice can make a huge difference in turning their hopes into reality. School choice is needed everywhere, and you can help make it happen!
Finally, if you’re concerned about what’s going on in radical states like Colorado, where the legislature is seriously considering passing a law that would strip child custody from parents who don’t affirm their child’s self-chosen “gender identity,” then you know the ECCA is critical to giving parents in those states real choice for where to send their kids to school. The ECCA is a critical parental rights measure for those families!
Two Iowans will play a huge role in passing the ECCA because of the committees they serve on. Please contact them today and urge them to support the Educational Choice for Children Act during the budget reconciliation process.
