Statement Following Shooting Incident at Pennsylvania Trump Rally
The Family Policy Alliance team urges all Americans to join together in prayer following the Saturday incident involving alleged shots fired at former President Donald Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The event occurred shortly after Trump took the stage at Butler Family Farms among thousands of supporters on Saturday evening. Details continue to develop, but the Secret Service has confirmed the former president is safe and in a secure location.
Reports claim that four or five shots were fired. Trump’s Secret Service personnel quickly covered the former president, with pictures showing him bleeding from the right side of his head.
“Having free and fair elections is a privilege and we have to keep them peaceful. Please join us in praying for President Trump and his family and others at the event. We don’t have to settle our elections this way,” Family Policy Alliance CEO Craig DeRoche said in an online video post.
“Join us in praying for our nation. Let’s all pray, vote and engage. We could have a different country if every Christian would show up peacefully and vote. We denounce this violence.
“In this time of crisis, God is our refuge and strength. Let’s call out to Him for safety and security for all involved,” he added.
