We have more stories of successful chemical abortion reversals for you. As you know by now, hundreds of healthy babies have been saved through reversal, even though their mothers took the first chemical abortion pill. There are countless stories of mothers regretting a chemical abortion as soon as they took the first pill, but the great news is that there is hope for these mothers. Here are another two stories Planned Parenthood and abortion clinics do not want told.

Tina

Though married, college-educated, and in her mid-30s, Tina didn’t want to have her baby because of the stress of her job and the disapproval of her work associates. However, she felt extreme remorse and inability to sleep after taking the first chemical abortion pill. A doctor helped her successfully reverse the abortion using progesterone. “I thank God every day when I look at him. He is a healthy, beautiful boy! Without the option of the abortion pill reversal, he would not be here today.”

Shashana

After beginning her chemical abortion protocol, Shashana regretted her choice and successfully pursued abortion reversal treatment. She did this based on her own research, as her abortion clinic gave her no information about reversal options when she called to ask. She gave birth to a healthy boy.

These are just two more of the many stories across America, including right here in North Dakota, showing how children were given life, not death. Please pray that expectant mothers will hear this news and make the right decision.

We have yet another story of a baby who has been saved because his mother found out that chemical abortions could be reversed. There are now approximately 1,000 healthy babies across our nation who are a testament that chemical abortion reversal works! All it takes is for the mother to take progesterone – a drug safely prescribed for decades to prevent miscarriages – after the first abortion pill.

April

April started by visiting a pro-life pregnancy help center in Missouri, since she planned to keep her baby. At the center, she was confident of choosing life for her preborn child but mentioned that it might be difficult to convince her boyfriend. Sure enough, her boyfriend pressured her to have an abortion, even threatening legal action to take the child away from her if she carried full term.

April finally gave in to the immense pressure and went to Illinois to have an abortion, despite her deep feelings that it was not the right thing to do. She visited the abortion clinic, took the first of the chemical abortion pills there, and received the rest of the pills that would complete the abortion. She immediately regretted it. After doing some online searching, she found the abortion pill reversal hotline run by Heartbeat International (877-558-0333).

She was referred back to the pregnancy help center she had first visited, where they tried to give her progesterone to reverse the effects of the first pill, but found out she was allergic to peanut oil, one of the ingredients used in the progesterone treatment. In response, the clinic doctor made phone calls, drove to a more distant pharmacy, and procured the medication, despite all the prohibitive COVID-19 restrictions and risks.

April took the progesterone and now, two months later, is doing great and is carrying a healthy baby boy that is due in the fall. We praise God for his mercy and grace in this difficult situation!

This is just one of thousands of stories across America, including right here in North Dakota, showing how children were given life, not death. Dear Friend,

Toward the end of Easter week, the Idaho Legislature closed the book on the 2018 Legislative session. The chapter you helped write resulted in protections for preborn babies, pregnant mothers, parental rights, and religious freedom.

To read any of the bills and get pertinent information on each bill’s trajectory, click on the bill number below.

(Any bill that made it to the floor of either the House or Senate will list how each member voted.)

Parental Rights and Sex Education: Together, we helped to stop H414 and its updated version H579 in the House Education Committee. These two pieces of legislation undermined parental rights and diminished the important role of the church in the sensitive topic of human sexuality and sex education. The Statement of Purpose advocated the deletion of the following part of current Idaho code, calling it “antiquated”:

“The legislature of the state of Idaho believes that the primary responsibility for family life and sex education, including moral responsibility, rests upon the home and the church and the schools can only complement and supplement those standards which are established in the family.”,

Instead of including the home and church as primary influencer in sex education and moral responsibility, the new bills sought to address in broad terms what sex education should be and who should be involved in planning the curriculum. Clearly, the unspoken goal was to introduce “comprehensive sex education,” with the role of the state expanding while the family was sent to the “back of the bus”.

Pro-Life Advancements: Both ground-breaking pro-life bills we worked on were approved by the full Senate and full House. When the bills got to Governor Otter’s desk, he signed them into law! H638, the Abortion Complications Reporting Act, and S1243, the Abortion Pill Reversal Informed Consent Bill will become effective this July. (Be sure to click those links to see how your legislators voted on these bills.)

If you would like to extend your thanks to Governor Otter, you can phone his office at 208-334-2100 or email him.

Both pro-life bills were a very heavy lift and the outcome could have been different without your involvement.

Stopping Planned Parenthood: Finally, in a very difficult win for life, H563, the bill providing back-door funding for Planned Parenthood failed on the House floor. This bill will be back next year as it was sold as a cost savings for Medicaid patients. H563 claimed a need for $29 million in taxpayer dollars to provide “free contraception” to low-income Idaho women age 19-44 and included both pre and post conception contraceptives.

This is the chapter of Idaho policy in 2018 that YOU helped to write. Thank you for standing up for Idaho families. Thank you for your stewardship of our great state! Thank you for helping to make our vision of Idaho as “a state where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive, and life is cherished” a tangible reality.

This work must and will continue. We cherish your prayers and financial support. You can send a gift to Family Policy Alliance of Idaho right here from our website.

Sincerely,

What if a woman knew she could reverse a chemical abortion, save the life of her child, and spare herself a life of regret?

This could become a reality in Idaho.

Sponsored by Senator Lori Den Hartog, S1243, the “Abortion Pill Reversal Informed Consent” bill, informs women seeking chemical abortions that abortion reversal may be possible, should they change her mind.

Family Policy Alliance of Idaho is working with Right to Life of Idaho on this legislation.  Together, our pro-life organizations will advocate giving mothers life-saving information as they contemplate their choice.  Abortion pill reversal information empowers women with facts on a time-sensitive protocol that can save a life.

Baby Gabriel’s mom found herself in a crisis pregnancy and was pressured to abort him.   Watch a short video of her story, “Saving Baby Gabriel” below.

The story of baby Gabriel shows the kind of pressure endured by many women in crisis pregnancies.  Notice that when Gabriel’s teen mom told the abortionist that she did not want to take the RU-486, he reminded her of the circumstances in which she found herself and coerced her to go through with the abortion.

Can you imagine making a deadly mistake, needing with all your heart to correct it, and being told that the death you are trying to avoid is inescapable?  With an RU-486 abortion, all may not be lost.

What is RU-486?

RU-486” refers to two drugs: mifeprex, taken at the abortion clinic, and a second drug called misoprostol which is typically taken 2-3 days later at home. The first drug starves the baby and stops a beating heart. The second drug causes uterine contractions and the pregnant mother delivers a tiny, lifeless baby.

The logic behind abortion reversal is straightforward. Instead of taking the second pill, the pregnant woman is given large dosages of “progesterone in order to counteract the first pill.”  This protocol is a ray of hope.  As Dr. George Delgado, one of the pioneers of this technique, has said, “by using progesterone, they hope to “out-compete [mifepristone] at the receptor.”

Numerous studies have found strong links between abortion and psychological trauma.  Imagine how much more intense that trauma, that desire to escape, if the mother is denied information that explains how she can choose to change her mind and save her baby.

S1243 is life-saving and life-giving.

You would think that people who are “pro-choice” would support giving women information, so they have the freedom to choose to change their mind.  On the contrary, you can be sure that abortion advocates will show up in force to oppose S1243.

Over 45% of Idaho abortions in 2016 were chemical.  Do you suppose that of those 581 abortions, there quite possibly were numerous women who stared at those pills and saw a life of regret in their future?

Information on reversing the abortion pill, like that found in S1243, may have saved those moms and their babies.

With this legislation, we can take a step forward in Loving Them Both.

In the next week, I will be sending you information about how you can help make S1243 a reality.

Will you purpose to let your voice be heard?

We must never stop speaking for those who can’t speak for themselves.

Sincerely,

Julie Lynde
