I know I do… at least according to the so-called “mainstream” media.

I believe the Bible is the Word of God. I believe in biology – that beings with human DNA and beating hearts are in fact human beings and also that human beings with male or female DNA and parts are in fact the gender that science tells us they are. And, I look forward to voting for President Trump in November, and I’m eager to share that information.

Yet, the media wants to portray me – and others that share such “crazy” views – as “fringe.” And, they’re relentless.

Houston Rockets SG James Harden expressed support for the police – he got slammed.

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees expressed support for the flag – he was harassed as a racist.

A Michigan (a state won by Donald Trump in 2016, by the way) teacher expressed support for the President – he got fired.

Senator Kelly Loeffler posted a video in support of our efforts saying girls’  sports should be played by girls – calls began to remove her from owning a WNBA team.

Senator Loeffler spoke out again to declare that supporting the American flag was more unifying than standing with an openly Marxist organization – and those calls grew even louder.

These are just a few examples that continue to build on a “cancel culture” that is out of control. It’s disgusting, and it’s un-American.

But, do Christians hold some of the blame for feeding into this?

In modern history, the Church has increasingly bought into the liberal lie that politics and culture have no place in our churches. Christians have increasingly shied away from the public square. Others that would be eager to engage have found that there are few resources out there to help them become well-equipped Christian soldiers.

That has led to a progression where mainstream, conservative Judeo-Christian views are increasingly mocked and silenced.

As I look at the culture today, I’m willing to admit to you that Family Policy Alliance of Georgia® is not doing enough. Yes, we’ve made great strides in policy, in elections, and in making the truth known. But, there is so much more to do to awaken the Church, empower Christians to engage, and fundamentally change the culture of our state – not just fight session to session or election to election.

To this end, we’re building a plan to grow, add to our team, bring new programs to the state, and expand our vision. As we build toward 2021, our goal for this plan is to raise $43,840 between now and September 30th, the close of our fiscal year.

If you believe your views aren’t “crazy” and are eager to bring about a culture that no longer portrays them as such, please consider a generous online donation to our education efforts today.

We feel called to do more. Your support has fueled incredible growth for our ministry over the 3 years we’ve been in Georgia. Now, we’ve reached a critical stage as we seek to make our state and our culture stronger for generations to come.

For Georgia,

Cole Muzio
President and Executive Director

Your voice makes a difference. At Family Policy Alliance, we believe that and are committed to helping you speak up on key local, state and national battles.

And you have done so in a huge way! Last week, you hit a million – a million messages sent to public officials through the Family Policy Alliance Action Center.

But what’s more exciting than that big number is the impact it represents. To help you get a sense of that, let me share with you a bit of the birds-eye view that I enjoy.

I’m privileged to work with and hear from pro-family leaders around the country. They keep us informed and give us perspective on which issue battles are especially important – and where the voice of the people could make a difference.

That’s on the front end. But the back end is where it gets especially exciting. That’s when we hear from allies in state capitols about the impact that you made with your emails, calls or other engagement.

It might be a key state senator making comments in his office about the huge flood of emails he got in support of a bill, and it’s clear from the details that they are talking about your emails through our Action Center.

Or a state representative may comment in a committee hearing about the overwhelming number of calls she received on a particular bill – right after we completed a major calling campaign in her district.

When you send a message through our Action Center or make a phone call, you often don’t know what the impact is. I’m here to tell you that, combined with the actions of others, your messages often make a profound difference.

I could go on with examples from state after state.

And even when a legislator or congressman votes the wrong way, there can still be positive impact. For one, they may become less vocal as they realize how many of their constituents take the other side on an issue. For another, as you share the alerts with others and they take action, they become more aware of where their politicians really stand, increasing the chances of holding them accountable at the next election.

So truly, thanks a million! Together, let’s keep up the impact!

If you’re not on Twitter, you’ve not only made some better life choices than me, you might have missed a ridiculous little video from rapidly-rising-in-the-polls presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg.

In the video, Bloomberg, who is making an all-out appeal to LGBTQ voters, asks for ice cream, takes a bite, and nonsensically says “Mmmmm… big gay ice cream is the best.”

After taking a moment to ponder the absurdity of Bloomberg’s declaration of his ice cream’s homosexuality, I quickly began to pray for victory for President Trump.

You see, Michael Bloomberg is running as a moderate/centrist in the Democratic primary field… and yet he feels the need to pander to the radical LGBTQ ideology in such an absurd way. Throughout their race for the nomination, the Democrat presidential candidates have tripped over themselves in a race to the radical Left – supporting radical abortion policies like what we’ve seen in Virginia, denying biology, upending the Constitution, and more.

The alternatives to President Trump are painfully liberal and woefully radical. They don’t value life, truth, or common sense. And, they’ve pledged allegiance to Planned Parenthood and the radical LGBTQ community while holding our nation’s values and history in contempt.

Contrast this lurch to the Left with our current president. I’ll admit, I was late to the party to support President Trump, and I still have reservations about his character and core. Yet, it is impossible to deny that Donald J. Trump – the first ever Commander in Chief to speak at the March for Life – has done more for the pro-life movement than any POTUS ever has.

It’s also impossible to deny that President Trump is bringing healing and constitutional respect to a broken judicial system, that he’s been intentional about a nation where life is cherished and families thrive, and he’s advanced the cause of religious freedom – reversing eight years of First Amendment suppression.

This is why – even as this sham of an impeachment plays out in DC – Christian unity in politics should persist with support of an imperfect president who has nonetheless been used in a powerful way.

As we enter this election cycle, we are leading the largest ever pro-family, Georgia-grown campaign our state has ever seen. Every endorsement we make will be built upon the idea of continuing the momentum we’re seeing in Georgia and around the nation and rejecting the radical, non-sensical ideology we hear from leftists like Bloomberg, Warren, Sanders, and Biden.

And, that’s why it starts with encouraging support for and unity behind President Trump. It doesn’t mean we should be unwilling to criticize or call for better, but it does mean we should call on our Christian brothers to stand with an agenda that is aligned with ours.

The opportunities before us are real. Georgia will play a major role in the race for the White House, the largest role in battle for control of the Senate, and we have an opportunity to dramatically improve the outlook of our congressional delegation. Of primary focus to us, we also have every state legislative seat on the ballot in 2020.

Can you help us stand firm and take action? Partnering with us with a generous gift of $50, $100, $250, or more – whatever the Lord has called you to do – can make a major difference in unifying Christians behind a common, biblical agenda. Prayerfully consider standing with us today.

Radical liberals are running for the White House, Congress, and our state legislature under the promise to do and say anything to appease a socialist and radical base. Should they control these institutions, the nation and state we love will be fundamentally changed. Let’s stand against crazy politicians who say things like “Mmmmm… big gay ice cream is the best,” and work to deliver the most Christ-centered electorate standing in unity behind a God-honoring agenda.

To Victory,

Cole Muzio
President and Executive Director

It’s not hard to find cause for excitement in Georgia – the results are manifest, the momentum is palpable, and the future looks brighter than ever.

But, there’s also no shortage of dire warnings.

Millions of dollars are flooding in from out of state, socialists held their convention, Democratic presidential candidates (also all socialists) held their debate here, and prophesies abound of the a “not if but when” future of liberal control of our state.

The reality is that Georgia could easily become the next Virginia – once a conservative stronghold that rapidly shifts leftward.

Having begun my career in The Commonwealth, I still hear from citizens of the home of Washington, Jefferson, and Madison. A common phrase now that liberals control both legislative chambers as well as all state offices is, simply, “it’s worse than we could have imagined.”

Already, Virginia is working to rid their state of references to gender, impose a radical transgender bathroom policy on the state, and ban biblical counseling. The radicals now in control of the state are in a mad dash to remake the state and undo decades of conservative policies overnight.

If given control, Georgia liberals are bound to do the same thing as they shift even more far left. In fact, State Senator Steve Henson recently sponsored a bill for assisted suicide – allowing the sick and elderly to be killed. What’s frightening is the fact that Henson is retiring because he’s considered too moderate for his FAR left caucus!

Yet, there’s hope – and lots of it – IF you take action.

I refuse to buy the doom and gloom scenarios, and I’m bullish on our chances to gain ground in 2020. With a majority of swing seats held by pro-abortion legislators, we have a major opportunity to play offense and flip seats from those who hold the radical view that unborn babies with beating hearts are not worthy of protection.

Can you help us fund our gameplan?

We are unleashing the most aggressive, unprecedented pro-family campaign in Georgia – supporting those who have fought for our values, opposing the radical left, and actively recruiting and engaging in open seats. With millionaires from San Francisco and New York funding our opposition, I’m asking you to stand with us by making a generous contribution today.

I don’t like fear tactics, and my goal in this emails is always to inspire hope. But, at the same time, we must recognize the radical departure from virtuous policy that awaits if we fail to give this critical election cycle the attention it deserves.

Because Georgia is NOT the Next Virginia,

Cole Muzio
President and Executive Director

PS. May it never be said that we didn’t take 2020 seriously enough. If the radical left wins in November, our state will change for the worst, and it will do so with a shocking rapidity that will damage our culture for generations to come. Please prayerfully consider partnering with our elections effort today.

Brothers and sisters in Christ,

Is it right for Christians to involve themselves in political things? Some Christians say no. They argue that believers should focus on “spiritual” things (like evangelism, prayer, Bible reading, and church) without getting “distracted” by the things of this world (which, of course, include politics).

I affirm that we should evangelize the lost, robustly pursue prayer and Bible reading, and actively involve ourselves in a local assembly of God’s people. But to say that doing these things precludes exercising our biblical responsibilities as citizens overlooks three important biblical truths.

First, God has created government as His “ministers to us for our good” (Romans 13:4). Therefore, government is something worthy of our time and efforts—it’s one of God’s gifts given to us to help promote the common good until His return!

Second, we are to “seek the welfare of the city where God has sent us” so that we may be left free to “live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity” (Jeremiah 29:7, 1 Timothy 2:2). For us to have the space to live our lives and raise our children according to God’s revealed will, government needs to respect its limited jurisdiction—it must refrain from interfering with the biblical exercise of our God-given rights.

Third, we have been given a cultural commission to transform the society around us. In the model prayer given to his disciples, Jesus instructs us to pray, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven” (Matthew 6:10). We are to work as God’s laborers until this goal is realized, “occupying until Jesus returns” and acting as “the salt of the earth” and “the light of the world” by promoting a godly vision for society (Luke 19:13, Matthew 5:13-16).

We can’t afford to be apathetic. If we engage in politics, we can make large leaps forward in building a public square where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive, and life is cherished. If we withdraw from politics, another ideology will fill the vacuum. Those who show up and speak out will achieve the victory. In many ways, the sorry state of our government today is the direct result of retreat and indifference on the part of Christians.

The Family Policy Alliance® exists to unleash biblical citizenship throughout this great state and nation. This is accomplished through educating and mobilizing voters, discipling statesmen, and promoting sound policy. We know that the reformation of the “political” will only happen when Christians exercise their biblical responsibility to inform themselves and get involved in “political” things.

The Bible tells us of faithful believers who “stood firm and took action” when faced with an out-of-control government (Daniel 11:32). Will you stand with us?

Sincerely,

Nathan Winters
Director of Advocacy

My name is Nathan Winters and I am the new Advocacy Director for Family Policy Alliance® serving in Wyoming. I formerly served as a pastor with the First Baptist Church of Thermopolis. I am also a former, three-term State Representative, and today, I am proud to share with you an exciting opportunity for our state!

Last year, the good Lord led me to begin my search for a way to address some of the challenges we face in Wyoming. It is no secret that forces are at work in our culture to prevent Christians from living out their biblical values in the public square. Increasing attacks on religious freedom, the family, and the sanctity of life are making it more difficult for Christians to take a stand for their values. As a pastor, I have seen the negative impact that progressive culture is having on people, and as a legislator, I witnessed how bad public policy directly impacts the lives of our neighbors.

My journey for a solution to address these challenges ultimately led me to Family Policy Alliance. To claim ground and bring light into darkness, Family Policy Alliance—a public policy partner of Focus on the Family—is already carrying the banner of Christian values forward in 40 states. Their mission is to unleash biblical citizenship, equip and elect statesmen, promote policy, and work with an effective alliance, all committed to a common vision—a Wyoming and a nation where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive, and life is cherished.

To achieve this mission and vision, Family Policy Alliance needs strong pro-family organizations in every state. Today, I am excited to inform you that they are now seeking support to launch their newest state ally—Family Policy Alliance of Wyoming!

Imagine a Wyoming-based organization that is building alliances with churches, promoting sound public policy in Cheyenne, mobilizing Christians to elect honorable candidates, and equipping citizens to understand the issues. That is the opportunity before us, and with your help, we can move from imagination to reality.

The funding needed to launch this effort is substantial and I am working hard to build a local network of support.

We have raised over half the funds required to launch Family Policy Alliance of Wyoming thanks to generous, local, ministry partners. Week by week, we have watched the momentum and excitement continue to build!

If you share this vision for our state, I invite you to join me with your financial gift to help launch Family Policy Alliance of Wyoming to advance biblical citizenship and equip and elect statesmen, so that God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive, and life is cherished.

Thank you for your consideration and support!

Standing for the family of believers in Wyoming,

Nathan Winters
Director of Advocacy – Wyoming

It’s not out-of-the-norm to hear a phrase like “what on earth are you doing” being directed toward one of my 3 children. You see, they are naturally skilled troublemakers (from their mother, of course), and logic isn’t always the driving force in their decision-making process.

As a parent, it’s always fun hearing their explanations for the bizarre or bad thing they’ve just done – with my oldest son, Peyton (5), offering a detailed explanation that may or not make sense, my middle child, Cade (3), usually opting for a blunt shrug and “I don’t know” (admitting that he put absolutely zero thought behind his decision), and Jarrett (1) preferring to laugh at the suggestion that what he’d done was wrong and attempt to continue in his disruptive activity. (Again, they totally get it from their mom, of course).

Today, with a heart of gratitude, I want to provide you with some answers to exactly what your support of us has been doing and will do in the year to come.

With the end-of-the-year rapidly approaching, your mailbox and Inbox are likely filling up with solicitations for funds from various organizations looking to close out 2019 strong. As you weigh ministries to support, what you’re passionate about, and who you trust with your hard-earned resources, I want to make sure you know exactly what on earth your generosity toward Family Policy Alliance of Georgia® and Family Policy Foundation of Georgia® is doing:

No doubt, you have many worthy causes you have heard from in recent days. However, I want you to know that your support of us has provided the movement MAJOR momentum politically, empowered godly leaders, and strengthened the body of Christ in its mission to advance His truth. It’s been powerful to witness!

To build on this great work in 2020, I’m asking that you join us by contributing generously today.

This time next year, I look forward to writing about even more elections, policy, and “biblical citizenship” successes. Also, I hope to unveil plans to expand our ministry through new staff and programs. You’ve helped us grow dramatically over the last 12 months, and I’m looking forward to building on the momentum you’ve helped us establish.

So, what on earth are you doing? You’re glorifying God in Georgia as well as making a major difference in protecting life, advancing freedom, and increasing opportunity. You’re loving your neighbor, and you’re helping form a better world for the next generation. You’re at the forefront of the fight, and, unlike my children, I’m thankful you know exactly what you’re doing.

Grateful,

Cole Muzio
President and Executive Director

P.S. I can’t begin to tell you the incredible difference you’ve made. In less than 3 years of our ministry’s presence in Georgia, we’ve fundamentally changed the political climate in our state, and we’re only just getting started. The opportunity to make a difference is even greater in 2020, and I’m humbly asking you to partner with us with a generous gift today.

Hundreds signing the LGBT curriculum opt-out petition, Harvest Outreach Ministries, Paterson, NJ

“I applaud Garden State Equality for not only leading this effort, but for your continued work in helping to craft this curriculum.”
Governor Phil Murphy
Garden State Equality’s Equality Ball
May 2019

According to their website, Garden State Equality in Asbury Park, is New Jersey’s statewide advocacy organization for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. They boast of implementing 222 laws and policies across our state since their founding in 2004. Unquestionably, they have been successful in influencing elected officials to subvert the traditional family by redefining human sexuality in state and local laws. However, their highest ambition is to force their sexual beliefs onto your children through the contentious LGBT curriculum that they are producing. Starting this winter, pilot programs will begin in selected schools and “curriculum coaches”, as they are referred to by Garden State Equality, will be deployed to school districts to instruct teachers how to assist their organization’s endless obsession with sexuality.

Parents should be concerned that this curriculum is not being developed by academic historians or professors writing a textbook that is peer reviewed for its correctness. It is being crafted by the most powerful LGBT advocacy group in the state. Advocacy groups have an agenda and Garden State Equality does not consider historical accuracy a part of it. The original bill language from February 2018, stated students must be taught an accurate portrayal of historical contributions of LGBT individuals in social studies. The final bill language in December 2018, and that was signed into law by Governor Murphy in Feb 2019, removed the requirement of accuracy and instead asserted students must be taught a positive view of the LGBT community, regardless of the facts.

Our state legislature has violated the public trust by allowing activists with persuasive sexual propaganda to indoctrinate the children of NJ. Therefore, in defense of parental rights, Family Policy Alliance of NJ is rallying parents, pastors and concerned community members across our state to protect students from this radical sexual agenda. I have been speaking in churches and home groups every week throughout our state to make others aware of this deceiving agenda. Currently, we have over 3,500 individuals who have signed our petition to allow parents the right to opt their child out of this curriculum. We have been in discussion with a NJ Assembly member to sponsor and introduce a parental right amendment in the new legislative session in January 2020. Statewide media has featured our efforts on this issue.

Please continue sharing our online petition with your sphere of influence. The greater numbers of people mobilized on this issue; the more serious legislators will hear our concerns.

Thank you for your action and advocacy for the students of NJ!

Dear Friends,

It’s hard to believe, but the 2020 Idaho Legislative Session is just around the corner.

Family Policy Alliance of Idaho® is working hard to prepare for the upcoming session. Although much was accomplished last year, it is our prayer that even more will be achieved this coming year – all for God’s glory and for the flourishing of our neighbors.

During the next several weeks, please be on the lookout for emails from me detailing the most pressing priorities for this next legislative session. We’re excited to champion and support bold legislation defending and advancing the sanctity of life, religious liberty, parental rights, and biblical values. Of course, we will continue asking for your help in contacting your legislators and sharing information with those in your sphere of influence.

One last thing: Will you pray for us as we get ready for the 2020 Idaho Legislative Session? Scripture tells us that “the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16).  Because we know that God hears our prayers, we know that your prayers will be used by Him to provide for this ministry and equip us for the work to which He has called us.

Thanks for your prayers, encouragement, and financial support. We couldn’t do it without you. With your help, we will keep striving for an Idaho where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive, and life is cherished.

Blessings to you and your family this Advent season,

Blaine Conzatti
Director of Advocacy – Idaho

Friends,

In my email last week, I offered three biblical reasons why Christians should involve themselves in politics.

Recognizing that positively influencing civil government is a biblical responsibility, what should serve as our motivation for political engagement? The answer, biblically speaking, is that our participation in politics should flow out of our love for God and love for neighbor.

Jesus was once approached by a Pharisee who asked him, “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied:

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 22:34-40).

Indeed, our love for God should compel us to reassert the Lordship of Christ over all things—including civil government. Jesus is King of all existence. God created government to serve Him by acting as His ministers of civil justice. Therefore, it is the duty of Christians to make sure government fulfills the purpose for which it was created. We should champion a vision of government where God is honored and His eternal standard of justice, as revealed in Scripture and general revelation, is maintained.

Moreover, the divine mandate to “love our neighbor” should compel us to seek the good of our neighbor. One necessary means of accomplishing this is through the political process. Let us not forget the wisdom of the Bible, which says, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan” (Proverbs 29:2). We need to elect godly leaders who fulfill the requirements given in Scripture for those who hold office: qualified, Godfearing, trustworthy, and virtuous (Exodus 18:21).

Another way to tangibly demonstrate our godly love for our neighbors is through promoting public policy that produces human flourishing. God wants every person to reach his or her highest potential as His image bearer. This will not happen if government inverts its purpose and promotes that which God calls evil while punishing that which God calls good.

Our neighbors are blessed—and God is glorified—when we faithfully discharge our biblical responsibility to elect righteous leaders with a biblical worldview and then hold them accountable once they are in office.

This is where Family Policy Alliance of Idaho® comes into the picture. We exist to help you and your neighbors understand the tremendous rights, responsibilities, influence, and opportunities you have as citizens. We equip and elect statesmen. Then, with your help, we represent you and your values at the seats of government power throughout this great state.

Will you stand with us?

Standing with you,

Blaine Conzatti
Director of Advocacy – Idaho
