Without a doubt, Northwest Georgia is one of my favorite areas in the entire country. The natural beauty and charm of the area can’t be beat, and the people are outstanding. Also, the region has some of the best representation you’ll find anywhere, including State Senator Chuck Payne.
Humility, sincerity, and servant-leadership define Chuck Payne. He’s a man of faith and compassion who loves God, is devoted to his community, and always puts others before himself. These characteristics are rare in elected officials, and it’s why Chuck stands out under the Gold Dome.
That’s why, in this primary election, I’m asking for your help to re-elect this godly man.
In working with Chuck at the Capitol, I’ve grown to count on him as a close friend and ally. When we were fighting for the Heartbeat Bill, he was one of the foremost advocates for life – a key reason this historic legislation was passed. His moving speech can be found here.
Time and again, Chuck Payne has proven to be at the tip of the spear when it comes to advancing our values. He is the sponsor of Simon’s Law, a key life-affirming parental rights bill. He is a co-sponsor on the Religious Freedom Restoration Act and a bill to protect faith-based adoption agencies. Consistently, he is recognized for being among the most conservative and most pro-family legislators in Georgia. His core convictions and commitment to Christ-honoring leadership are why the Family Policy Foundation (our sister organization) honored him in the inaugural Statesmen Academy class from Georgia.
We are at a critical juncture in our state and in our nation. Governor Kemp and President Trump have made major gains for life and for freedom, but they need allies in the fight. Senator Chuck Payne is such an ally, and we must send him back to the Senate to fight for what matters most.
There are victories behind us. Chuck Payne was instrumental in those. There are opportunities ahead of us. To achieve victory, we need Chuck Payne in the mix. As you can tell, I’m a big fan of this humble and prayerful leader – someone who is universally respected and an able champion for your interests – and I hope you will join us in the campaign to re-elect this outstanding senator.

Did you know you have a lobbyist? You do, and, well, you actually have three.
This week, the legislative session kicked off here in Georgia, and our team – Mitch Prosser, Johnny Crist and I – are working at the Capitol to lobby on your behalf.
While most of the lobbyists under the Golden Dome make mega-bucks working for big-moneyed special interests, we are fighting for families. Among the bills we are working on this session are measures to strengthen opportunities for homeschoolers, parental rights, protections for the unborn, educational choice, religious freedom, and end-of-life care.
Our aggressive legislative agenda faces intense opposition from liberal politicians and well-funded special interest.
Despite the opposition, we remain committed to making a difference on your behalf and for the long term. We will work relentlessly to pass our bills, build momentum for the future, expand our number of allies, and change the conversation as we forge a Georgia where God is honored.
Now, one of our foremost partners in this fight is someone we have gotten to know well- Statesmen Academy alum, Senator Chuck Payne.
Your generous support allowed us to send Chuck to Colorado Springs to participate in the Statesmen Academy, which is a project of our sister organization, Family Policy Foundation. And Chuck exemplifies why this program is so pivotal.
When I first met Chuck, it was immediately evident that he was intelligent, passionate, and committed to Christ and His people. However, he had been elected just a few days before, and he was just learning what to expect as a State Senator.
Throughout his first year, Chuck proved that he was the kind of leader we wanted at the Statesmen Academy. Regardless of the pressure, he always did the right thing. At the Statesmen Academy last summer, he distinguished himself with his wisdom and sincerity.
Now, Chuck’s leadership is being recognized at the Capitol.
Senator Payne, who had never held office until a year ago, has now been elected Chair of the Prayer Caucus, is sharing incredible insights on policy strategy, and is helping us with key legislation. Although he is still a freshman senator, he is a real standout, and has proven himself to be someone Georgia families can count on.
I’m so grateful for all that Chuck does for the people of Georgia, and I am honored to know him. Moreover, I feel blessed that he was able to attend the Statesmen Academy, and I am so thankful to you for making his time in Colorado Springs possible.
So, in closing, I want to share some confidential information: I want 5 more Georgians at our Statesmen Academy this year. Will you help us make that happen? Your generous support will help us train more Statesmen who can make a difference like Chuck.
We have a tall task lobbying for families here in Georgia, but, with more Statesmen like Chuck, we will accomplish even more. Thank you for your prayers and support!
Fighting for you,
President and Executive Director
You may not know me, but I spent the 2017 legislative session as the newest legislator in Georgia. Elected in a special election, I am proud to represent District 54- which covers the Northwest corner of the state.
Having never served in elected office, my great hope is that my intentions, convictions, and desires- to serve people, glorify my God, protect innocent life, champion religious liberty, and promote the family- will help me overcome career politicians whose only interest is the preservation of the status quo.
That’s why I’m so glad Family Policy Foundation is here to help me with that, and proud to partner with Family Policy Alliance of Georgia in my state.
In a few short weeks, I will join other Christian leaders from around the country in Colorado Springs for the Statesmen Academy. If you are not familiar with this program, you can learn more on the Statesmen Academy webpage.
I am incredibly excited to take part in this training. Throughout my first legislative session, I established myself as one of the most conservative, pro-family voices in the State Senate. This training will help me be all-the-more effective, to lead others, and make a more profound difference for our values.
You, the faithful supporters of Family Policy Foundation are making this possible, and I want to thank you. I also want to humbly ask for your prayers- prayers for myself, my fellow Georgians, and other statesmen as we seek to grow, lead, and impact in our state. Please pray that we emerge from our time in Colorado Springs more capable, more faithful, and more primed to glorify our God in the public square.
One of my personal themes is to “Be The Difference.” I am confident that the Statesmen Academy will better equip me to make an even greater difference in the State Senate.
For the past several months, it has been a great honor to serve the people of Georgia at the Golden Dome. Over the next several years, I cannot wait to use the tools I learn at the Statesmen Academy to partner with you and with Family Policy Foundation for a Georgia where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive, and life is cherished.
P.S. I will be joining 4 other Georgians and 35 others from around the country in Colorado Springs very soon. Please pray for a profitable, Christ-honoring, and beneficial time for each of us as we seek to be banner carriers in our states!
