Earlier this week, the Kansas House passed Abortion Pill Reversal 85-38 – a bill that ensures that women have the relevant information about the possibility of reversing a chemical abortion.
Statesmen Academy alum Emil Bergquist carried the bill on the floor. He spoke persuasively about the need to update our informed consent laws to ensure women have access to this important information.
The House debated this bill for nearly two hours while opponents introduced multiple hostile amendments. Conservative legislators stood strongly to protect life. As was said from the floor, this bill is a pro-woman’s health bill and is about providing women options and hope beyond abortion.
Across the country this form of treatment has saved at least 500 lives that we know about.
We need your help to get this bill across the finish line. We asked you to contact your representatives and you did. Now the Senate needs to hear from you.
Will you take a few minutes to contact your Senator on our action page? Let them know you want women to have the information they need to make a fully informed decision.
