Finding the right words have never been a problem for me. I’ve ghostwritten countless speeches, statements, and mass communications for officials, companies, and various other people in power. In this job, I write, I speak, I communicate.

At the risk of seeming too vulnerable, I’m struggling for the right words.

It’s difficult to know what to say to my six-year-old son – faced with the prospect of turning 10 before we’ll have the opportunity to defeat an administration that will advance death, destruction, and socialism.

I used the defeat of Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue – who he personally prayed for every day – as a teaching moment for him, but I felt a mixture of emotion and pain throughout the day. I’m not sure how clear I was as I tried to convey to him that God doesn’t always answer prayer as we expect but that his plan is always good.

The right words have similarly failed to come since I watched in horror the events unfold at the Capitol on Wednesday. The rioting and violence were utterly despicable, and a struggle (and consistent failure) to find the right words has led to this email being started countless different ways and numerous social media post drafts being deleted.

I feel like I’m supposed to have the answers – as a man, a dad, and as the leader of this organization. I’ll admit to you that I don’t. I’ll tell you I’m discouraged and in pain. I’m hurting, and my emotions are raw. The images I’ve seen on TV will have ramifications for years to come, and the punch-in-the-gut from the runoff elections will be tough to get over.

While I don’t have all the answers, I know the Bible commands me to be hopeful and joyful.

I know that my resolve to transform our state for His glory has never been stronger, and that there is no circumstance where our faithfulness to be in the arena should wane.

I know that – despite immense challenges – the data shows that Georgia is not lost. With the right strategies and the right message, the ingredients are there to take our state back.

I know that, when the legislative session gavels in on Monday, the majority of our legislators share our values. We WILL make gains for the issues we care about.

Our organization is primed to be part of the solution, and I’m sure that the Lord is leading us on the right path. We are committed to forging a Georgia where God is honored, and I promise no one will work harder toward that end than I will.

This is the moment where the Church in Georgia says “enough!” takes a stand and reclaims our state for the Gospel. It is time to wake up – revival is on the doorstep.

It is human nature to get frustrated in times like this and to get angry or walk away. That is entirely inconsistent with our biblical mandate. Even as we search for the right words and right answers, we know that now is not the time to shrink back.

The culture has never needed the Gospel more.

The culture has never needed an organization committed to a Georgia where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive, and life is cherished more.

Christendom has never needed believers committed to glorifying God and loving their neighbor more.

We need you, frankly. This work matters, and now is the time.

I’ve seen dark days recently. But, I cling to hope.

I choose to live with joy because He has given me every reason to. I refuse to make politics a god, and I refuse to let earthly defeats curtail my lasting witness. I hope you’ll join me in these commitments.

We have work to do, my friends. I’m committed to it. Are you?

Never More Committed,

Cole Muzio
President and Executive Director

PS. I’m leaning on Scripture during this time. God’s promises allow us to truly live differently in the midst of great struggles than the non-believer does. This rendition of “It is well with my soul” is a song I find encouraging when I feel the weight of the spiritual battles we fight.

At this point, you know I’m not one to mince words: Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff are some really, really ridiculously bad dudes. And, it’s up to us to stop them from reaching the United States Senate.

I’m praying that you and yours enjoyed a great Christmas, and I hate to talk politics in this holiday season. But, the consequences of these runoff races could not be more severe.

Raphael Warnock was arrested for covering up child abuse, and his wife reported that he ran over her with his car. He’s welcomed Fidel Castro into his church, and he’s praised Jeremiah Wright. He has a lengthy history of racist and bigoted comments and sentiments.

Jon Ossoff is a man devoid of accomplishments. He received historic amounts of money from California for his failed bid for Congress and has now parlayed the infamy that bought him into a Senate candidacy. He’s taken money from terrorist sympathizers and from CCP affiliated companies.

To paraphrase the children’s book character Alexander, these are some “terrible, horrible, no good, very bad” guys! And, here’s what they stand for:

We cannot afford to send these really, really bad dudes to the Senate. Their character is lacking and their policies are evil!

Now is not the time to sit back and definitely not the time to sit out. We have to go “all in” to stop these terrible candidates and SAVE THE SENATE. We’re working tirelessly to get this message out so we’re asking you to do 3 things:

  1. VOTE
  2. Share this message with others. Your friends, neighbors, co-workers, family members, and fellow church members need to know how radical these bad guys are, and
  3. Consider donating to our organization so that we can strengthen Georgia TODAY

We’ve got to get this message out. You can vote today (December 28th) through Thursday (December 31st) with one last opportunity on Election Day (January 5th). Don’t delay!

Fighting against the Bad Guys,

Cole Muzio
President and Executive Director

P.S. Below you will find the biblical issues voting guide we released last week detailing where Kelly Loeffler and her opponent stand on several critical issues. Please share it (and this message) with others so they too may know how important it is to vote in this election.

(Click on the image below for a larger, downloadable version.)

“Now we change Georgia, then we change America!” That’s what Sen. Chuck Schumer (left), the Democrat leader of the Senate, said about two critical U.S. Senate races in Georgia.

As we continue to pray for truth and accuracy in the presidential election, two other races are looming that will determine much of what happens in D.C. over the next two years.

Two razor-thin runoffs in Georgia will determine which party controls the U.S. Senate.

The candidates in these races are polar opposites. Republican senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue have proven their commitment to life and family values by their votes on the floor of the Senate.

Their opponents? Jon Ossoff (running against Perdue) is a longtime darling of the progressive movement and a radical on social issues. Raphael Warnock (running against Loeffler) even uses the Bible to support his abortion-without-limits position. Both Ossoff and Warnock are endorsed by Planned Parenthood and by the leading opponents of religious freedom.

How can you make a difference? Help us turn out pro-life voters!

Because this is a special election that comes on the heels of the holidays, the biggest issue is turnout – reaching people who tend to think like you and me but who are less consistent about voting.

Please help Family Policy Alliance reach voters who are pro-life but who are inconsistent at actually voting.

Using the latest voter tools – and working with our on-the-ground allies at Family Policy Alliance of Georgia – we have identified hundreds of thousands of voters to reach with mobile ads, texting, and more.

There is no time to waste. Early voting starts this Monday, and Election Day is less than four weeks away (Jan. 5).

Turning out these critical votes takes significant resources. Please give as generously as you can today!

Sincerely,

John Paulton
Mobilization Manager

P.S. The progressive movement is raising millions of dollars to fund the two Democratic candidates. Help counter them and make the difference by turning out voters who think like you and me. Let’s not let the Left have the Senate!

Remember Jon Ossoff?

Yes, that Jon Ossoff. The utterly unqualified former candidate for Congress that raised a record amount of money from San Francisco and New York is back, and he’s running for U.S. Senate against pro-life David Perdue.

He joins a field of Columbus Mayor Teresa Tomlinson, radical leftist Clarkston Mayor Ted Terry, and Stacey Abrams’ running mate Sarah Riggs Amico aiming to unseat Perdue. To date, it appears that most are waiting to see who Governor Kemp appoints before deciding whether to run for Isakson’s seat.

Jon Ossoff’s entrance into the race, however, is yet another indicator that the Left will go all-in for Georgia in 2020. We all remember that he embraced the Pelosi agenda as a candidate, and I will never forget that he came to the Senate hearing of the Heartbeat Bill – lurking around and hoping to win favor with the radical pro-abortion crowd, though few cared for his presence.

My friend Chip Lake, Chief of Staff for Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan, described our state to the AJC as “the center of the political universe” and “ground zero in national politics,” and he’s right. Stacey Abrams even recently published a memo urging liberals to invest even more heavily in the state – a state where the Left already has shattered records in outside fundraising.

At the congressional level, Lucy McBath will get tremendous support to keep the 6th, and State Senator Zahra Karinshak – an outspoken opponent of the Heartbeat Bill – is one of many top recruits aiming to flip the 7th.

For our legislative seats, there won’t be a competitive seat where a well-funded liberal doesn’t step forward to run. Our pro-family, pro-Heartbeat candidates will be under attack from those hostile to science, reason, and to our values.

WE ARE GROUND ZERO in the national political scene.

So, what’s the response? Will we meet the challenge? Will we stand with those who have stood for what’s right and oppose those who have embraced a radical, wicked worldview? I have an aggressive elections plan – one where we flip the narrative and put the Left on their heels – that, quite frankly, just needs resources. Will you help our efforts?

To begin the push for 2020, please support us with your online contribution today.

We can’t convince the Left that Georgia isn’t winnable for 2020. They’ll spend BIG here, and they’ll bring forth all the top recruits. BUT, with our response, we CAN show that our state will NOT be taken, discourage them from pursuing Georgia in the future, and reclaim lost ground.

Paid for by Family Policy Alliance of Georgia

It wasn’t always pretty. It wasn’t always assured. There certainly were moments where it looked grim. In fact, the day Family Policy Alliance of Georgia began running ads in the 6th U.S. Congressional District, Jon Ossoff was leading Karen Handel by 7 points!

But, we serve a great God who delivered a 52-48 victory for our new congresswoman!

Jon Ossoff had more than $30 million, the national party apparatus united behind him, busloads of out-of-state volunteers, the MSNBC hosts singing his praises, dramatic voting rules changes, and a perfect political storm that many thought would sweep him to victory.

What they weren’t counting on, however, was you. YOU prayed, spoke out and rose up to deliver a victory that sent shockwaves around the country!

This is first and foremost a victory for our values. When Jon Ossoff exposed himself by attacking Karen Handel for her opposition to Planned Parenthood funding, the tide began to turn. While many voters in the 6th District have frustrations with President Trump, last night’s win shows that we meant what we voted last fall, that we want to give the president an opportunity to fight for our values, and that we will not vote against our interests and beliefs simply to make a point.

However, we cannot rest. Despite a demoralizing defeat, the Left is not going to leave Georgia alone. Their top candidate for governor already has millions flowing into her campaign. We cannot take that crucial race for granted!

Family Policy Alliance of Georgia is proud to have endorsed Karen Handel and played our part to help secure her victory. Will you stand with us as we prepare for pivotal 2018 elections here in Georgia? Your financial support today will ensure that we are able to meet similar challenges in the coming year.

Planned Parenthood spent nearly $1 million to support Jon Ossoff. While Karen Handel beat them back, we need to be prepared for the Left to go all-in in their attempts to turn our state blue once again. Please stand with us today to continue to stand for our values!

Thank you for all your support and prayers. Together, through prayer and action, we made a difference. Let’s continue to pray for Karen Handel as she now heads to represent us in Congress!

Cole Muzio
Executive Director

TAKE ACTION: Family Policy Alliance of Georgia made a difference in electing Karen Handel because of supporters like you. Can we count on your support  to help us make a similar impact in 2018?

Big Media and the Left said a special election in Georgia for a seat in Congress would be a referendum on the president’s conservative policies. Your support of Family Policy Alliance played a part in an upset victory for the pro-life candidate.

Paul Weber, our President and CEO, explains what can happen when you unleash your citizenship.

Here’s the video that got so much attention:

What will the headline be on June 21st? When the dust settles after the Election Day, what will the narrative be?

Will the headline be “Georgia Turning Blue” or “Christians Rise Up to Defend Georgia 6”? “Big Win for Planned Parenthood” or “6th District Says ‘No’ to Pro-Abortion Liberal”? “Victory for Ossoff” or “Handel Hands Georgia Families a Win”?

If you believe the latest polls, efforts by out-of-state groups to buy this election could very well pay off.

Over 97% of Jon Ossoff’s record-setting fundraising is coming from outside of Georgia because the Left is determined to engage in a takeover of our state so they can hang the trophy on their wall.

Just a week ago, polls showed Ossoff had pulled ahead of Karen Handel by 7 points.

But, the 6th district is waking up! The most recent polling shows a dead heat!

With momentum turning, your vote could be the deciding factor. Every vote will count. Everyone you talk to could be the person that makes a difference. Every moment you can devote to helping Karen Handel win could send a message that will be heard around the country.

So, what can you do?

  1. If you haven’t voted early, GO VOTE ON TUESDAY, JUNE 20TH!!! Find your polling place here.
  2. Join Family Policy Alliance of Georgia and our supporters around the country in prayer.
  3. Share our ad, which tells the truth about Jon Ossoff, with as many of your friends and family as possible.

The stakes of this election are high. With a loss, the media narrative will be that it repudiates what happened across the nation last November. A win here means a major victory for Georgia families – and sets the stage for the 2018 midterm elections.

With the election just days ahead, let’s leave nothing on the field. Let’s unite, pray, and work to elect Karen Handel to represent our families in Congress!

Proud to Stand with Karen,

Cole Muzio

TAKE ACTION: Win or lose, the Left isn’t going to leave Georgia alone. They are already plotting to target more congressional districts as well as to Governor’s Mansion. Please contribute to Family Policy Alliance of Georgia today to help support pro-family values in 2018!

A congressional district special election in Georgia is gaining national attention. Activists on the Left are pouring money into the state to support the pro-abortion candidate in an effort to gain perceived momentum for the 2018 mid-terms.

Cole Muzio, president of Family Policy Alliance of Georgia, says it’s time for Georgians – and the rest of us – to take a stand against policies and candidates that take aim at family values.

Watch the video ad that Cole mentions.

Have you heard the news? Jon Ossoff, the Democrat candidate running for Rep. Tom Price’s former seat in Georgia’s 6th district is attacking Republican Karen Handel because she stands for women’s health, for our tax dollars, and for the right to life.

Consultants on TV are working hard to portray Ossof as someone who will fight for Georgia values, but the fact that he doesn’t even live in Georgia’s 6th district and the out-of-state money pouring in from liberal groups like Planned Parenthood reveal that he stands more with “San Francisco liberals” and Nancy Pelosi than Georgia families.

Liberals are spending record-breaking amounts of money on Ossof to try to prove that Americans don’t want family-values conservatives in Congress! That’s why we need your help to get the message out that Karen Handel will better represent Georgia families!  Will you help by sharing this brand-new ad with your friends and family?

As you can tell, we are very excited about this ad. However, this is about more than just this campaign. At Family Policy Alliance of Georgia, we are passionate about finding leaders who represent your values, and helping them get elected. This ad is the first of what will be many efforts to engage in elections to elect pro-family leaders.

My friends, Family Policy Alliance of Georgia will not sit on the sidelines during campaigns and elections. We firmly believe that the best way to affect policy change is to change the people making the policy. That’s why you can always count on us to be on the frontlines, right where the action is!

Will you join us? Can we count on you to oppose the radical Left and their adherents like Jon Ossoff? Do you believe we can make the difference in electing pro-family leaders like Karen Handel here in Georgia? Let’s work together to make this vision a reality!

In His Service,

Cole Muzio
Executive Director

P.S. Jon Ossoff wants to use our tax dollars to fund the nation’s #1 provider of abortion on demand. Watch and share our ad to make sure voters know the truth!

Family Policy Alliance of Georgia is endorsing Karen Handel in her bid to represent the 6th Congressional District of Georgia.

As we’ve watched this race, we’ve seen the Left attempt to build a Manchurian candidate from Jon Ossoff—an out-of-district liberal brought in to prove a point. We’ve seen him become the poster-child for those disappointed by the results in November and the Left is now spending millions to prop him up. Groups like Planned Parenthood are spending BIG money because they know Ossoff will push their values on Georgians!

A loss in this race means the media will spin a narrative of Georgia going blue, a repudiation of conservative principles, an embrace of radical leftist, anti-family ideology, and a rising liberal star emerging from the Peach State—one who will haunt us for years to come.

But, while the prospect of Ossoff in Congress is mortifying, we have a tremendous opportunity.

Time and again, Karen Handel has proven to be a principled conservative. She has stood up to Planned Parenthood, advocated for the biblical definition of the family, and is a true servant-leader. We believe that she will be a worthy successor to Tom Price in Congress.

My friends, the battle lines are being drawn in Georgia and around the country. The Left wants to nullify the results of the November election and they want to build a narrative that our values, the values that fueled victories all around the country last fall, are losing issues.

That could not be more wrong!

We are engaging on the front lines for the values we care about. This means rolling up our sleeves and supporting good candidates in Georgia who will partner with us.

Planned Parenthood is running scared because they know that they are at the greatest risk they’ve ever been to losing their taxpayer funding, as families across the country say “enough.” With your help, we can lead this effort and continue the momentum from 2016!
