Family Policy Alliance is proud to be allied with Palmetto Family Council – our ally in South Carolina.
Last August, Palmetto Family Council launched a new initiative to reach pastors and churches across South Carolina—we call it the Nehemiah Network. Today, it’s a coalition of over 260 pastors, from 14 denominations, from every county in our state. We have a passion to live out 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If My people which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
We believe God desires to heal South Carolina—and every state—so we have been proactive to bring pastors to the forefront of the political world in our state. In February, 150 pastors met with our governor and members of the legislature for Pastors Day at the Statehouse. The Lord did a powerful work as pastors met and prayed with their respective lawmakers in the statehouse.
These pastors have helped influence legislators in enormous legislative wins including, in the last session, an 89-17 victory over dismemberment abortion. The Network is now standing up for the religious liberty of 29 Anglican churches in their battle to keep their property. The Nehemiah Network is on the front lines for the needs and concerns of Christians all across our state.
God continues to grow the Network and Palmetto Family Council in ways we never imagined. God is on the move in South Carolina and we can’t wait to see what HE has in store! We are also grateful to Family Policy Alliance for advancing these ideas and training to their alliance exceeding 40 states. When the church engages, the gates of hell cannot withstand it!
