“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.” -Hebrews 12:1
Dear Friends:
I am so thankful for the tremendous words of encouragement and support as we begin a New Year. I stand in awe of what God is doing through you and the difference you are making through us at Family Policy Alliance of Wyoming.
This week, I want to take a brief moment and let you know where we are headed and what you can expect from us as we begin 2022.
So with that, here are our top 3 goals for 2022:
#1—We will continue to be a Christian voice for you in Cheyenne during the 2022 Legislative Session!
In addition to providing policy support to our legislators, Family Policy Alliance of Wyoming will work diligently to advance a legislative agenda that defends human life, strengthens families and protects our First Amendment rights.
We will be tracking legislation and will keep you informed about specific bills we need to support or oppose. Further, we will be providing opportunities for you to engage directly with your elected officials, so please keep an eye out for our “Action Alerts.”
#2—We will work hard to elect pro-life, pro-family, and pro-religious freedom candidates during the 2022 Election!
Immediately following the 2020 election, the radical agenda of the far left was revealed in a new way. Wyoming schools, along with schools across the nation, were introduced to a new leftist doctrine called “systemic racism.” New “Social-Emotional Learning” (SEL) programs were introduced in our schools, turning them from a safe place to learn the basics of a good education to a place of politicized “self-actualization.”
The radical left used fear of the COVID-19 pandemic in new ways to invade the basic freedoms of our entire country. One thing is clear—if we want change, we must work for it. And this year, we have that opportunity. Family Policy Alliance of Wyoming will be tracking races, researching candidates, and scoring incumbent votes. In select races, we will also actively engage through official endorsements and/or voter guides, so voters can make informed decisions before heading to the polls.
#3—We will continue to grow our network of pastors and churches throughout the state.
Politics runs downstream from the culture, and the Church is responsible for helping to shape our culture. Therefore, we want to continue to serve pastors and churches by being a dependable, honest resource to help keep them informed on current events and public policy issues impacting religious freedom, families, and life.
God bless you! Let’s get to work!

Dear Friends,
The year 2021 has seemed to be a year of unmet expectations. After the disappointment that came with 2020, many of us looked to 2021 for “better.” Whether we were looking for better health, better finances, better politics, we expected 2021 to be better than 2020. We may have had glimpses of better this year, but the harder we tried to hold onto it, the harder it was to see – like the fog of a dream upon waking. In 2021, New Mexico didn’t see “better.” In fact, we reached some all-time lows.
- New Mexico lost major ground in the fight for life by being called “the late-term abortion capital of the country”
- Parental rights were threatened in the classroom as politics threatened to hijack our children’s education
- Government overreach heightened as spending accountability was ignored
- Progressive politics passed redistricting maps that threaten the conservative voice
But amid discouraging blows, light shined through the darkness.
- Churches began to be intentional with practicing religious freedoms
- Family Policy Alliance of New Mexico was re-launched
- Legislators enforced accountability in un-lawful government spending
- Good people chose to fight for better
This year could have been better. Many things could have gone differently but playing the “what if” game won’t help us achieve better in 2022. Looking back, we see where we’ve been and where we are headed if nothing changes. And so, we look to 2022 for change in…
- Anti-life legislation
- Education transparency
- The family’s ability to thrive
- The power of the conservative voice
- The hearts and minds of people
These changes are possible and we will fight to see them flourish, but your support is critical. Please help us see change for a better New Mexico in 2022 by supporting us now. Every dollar you give this week will be doubled by the $150,000 Challenge Grant to have 2x the impact.
Thank you for your support. Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for believing in the vision of a better New Mexico.
Ready for Change,
Jodi Hendricks
Executive Director
I hope you were able to rest this holiday season because, as we advance biblical citizenship in 2022, there is much for the Wyoming faith community to accomplish in the year ahead.
Those of you I’ve spoken with personally know how grateful I am for the growth, impact, and victories this organization achieved in 2021. Because of supporters like you, we’ve transformed the Wyoming political landscape for the better!
Yet, you also know what a critical year lies ahead, and I hope you know the degree to which we are resolved to achieve new heights, incredible victories, and powerful change for our values. Our New Year’s resolutions don’t involve tipping the scales a bit or making minor adjustments – they are to deliver generation-defining victories for our state like:
- Expanding and building upon our training programs for public servants and biblical citizens right here in Wyoming
- Rallying churches and believers across our state to get involved like never before
- Electing pro-family leaders nationally that will continue to restore our court system, advance our values, and uphold the Constitution
- Expanding our pro-life, pro-family majority at the Wyoming State House
Just a few short years ago, none of this would have been possible. But you have helped launch and build this organization into the leading advocate for our values right here in our state. You’ve helped save lives, elect godly leaders, and transform our culture.
Now, we must be resolved to do even more in 2022.
PLEASE PRAY. This year could not be more critical. Those opposed to our values are likewise resolved – except their objective is to undermine science, de-value human life, supplant the role of the family, undo the progress we’ve made. They violate both the Constitution and basic common sense. Will we exceed their resolute efforts to do harm with our fortitude to see good realized in our state?
In a month, the Wyoming legislative session will begin – where we will have the opportunity to pass God-honoring legislation. Months after that, we will be in primary season, where we will work to ensure we have the most pro-family nominees possible. Then, in November, a general election that could define our state for decades to come will take place. And, amid all of this, we will be at work to reach the people of Wyoming with the message of how the love of Christ can be displayed in the public square and shown in our public policy.
2022 will be a year for men and women of faith to stand for truth and live as a shining light in the darkness.
Thank you for all you do to fight for righteous values in Wyoming. May you and your family have a wonderful New Year!

2021 was a wild year! Twitter canceled people for speaking the truth. Congressional radicals tried to pass the Equality Act, force women into the draft, and more. The Biden-Harris Administration brought its own radical policies on life, sex and gender, and religious freedom. And that’s just scratching the surface of the challenges families faced this year.
But this year, we also saw amazing wins – because of you! You helped save kids from transgender experiments. More states saved girls’ sports. Many states took steps to protect life. And Roe v. Wade faced a challenge at the Supreme Court.
As we reflect on the year behind us, we’re also looking ahead. 2022 is a critical year with many opportunities to win for families.
Here’s our one-minute recap:
This New Year’s, we’re grateful for you. And we’re eagerly anticipating a 2022 filled with even more wins for the family.
From all of us at Family Policy Alliance, happy New Year!
The Family Policy Alliance Team
May this email find you and your family joyful as we head in to 2021!
Yes, 2020 was a tough year – for some it was devastating, and for most it was challenging. But thankfully, our earthly circumstances don’t dictate the state of our hearts. As Paul says in Romans 15:13: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you abound in hope.” What a privilege it is to have our hope in the person of Christ, rather than the circumstances of this world!
The team at Family Policy Alliance is so grateful for you and your contributions to our shared mission over this past year. We truly believe that what the evil one intended for harm is being used to glorify Jesus.
We see it in our work. The ground we gained in many areas critical to our mission is clear – from policy advances to political gains. (Yes, we actually gained ground in state capitols and in the U.S. House!)
As we enter 2021, we lift up our families and pray that yours is thriving today. We share our gratitude for our blessings of life and liberty, even as we unleash our citizenship to expand those freedoms in this new year. We pray for the wisdom, courage and stamina to advance family policy in a way that honors God.
Of course, the challenges on the horizon are evident, and we’ll need your prayerful engagement and support to meet those head on.
But the opportunities are real and exciting as well – especially at the state level. The potential to protect life, uphold religious freedom and expand parental rights – and then to see those laws upheld in a new-look Supreme Court – is very real indeed. We’ll also need your help to make those possibilities a reality.
And as we celebrate 52 of 55 Statesmen Academy alumni winning their elections in 2020, we also look to grow our service to the more than 100 graduates and to expand our reach to more Christian elected officials – helping them live out their values in the position of power to which God has entrusted them.
Thank you for all that you have done to support Family Policy Alliance® in the past year. And in 2021, may we together – regardless of the circumstances – joyfully work for a nation where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive and life is cherished.
Joyful New Year,
Craig DeRoche
President and CEO
“Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 3:12-14
Dear Friends—
On behalf of the Family Policy Alliance of New Mexico team and my family, I want to thank you for your faithful prayers and generous support of our ministry.
Over the past several days, I have taken time to reflect on all we accomplished together this year. Though we faced some unprecedented challenges along the way, we witnessed the provision and presence of the Lord and ultimately emerged as a stronger organization. For these reasons, I will look back on 2020 as a bittersweet year, fraught with both perpetual trials and newfound opportunities.
As we prepare for a new year, the work of Family Policy Alliance® will be more vital than ever before. Like 2020, 2021 will bring obstacles that seem immovable. And yet, if there is one thing we have learned over the years, it is that God can still use a faithful minority to move mountains.
In just over three years, we have grown from a small startup to a healthy organization with broad, bipartisan support throughout the state. Our lobbying work has been extremely effective, and our mobilization efforts have resulted in tens of thousands of emails, phone calls, and letters to elected officials at the local, state, and federal levels. Meanwhile, thanks to your year-end generosity, we are now on track to have the best fundraising year to date.
All this to say, Family Policy Alliance of New Mexico is healthy, growing, and thriving, and I am convinced more than ever that its best days lie ahead.
On that note, I will be sending an important message next week about the future of the ministry and its leadership. Until then, please again accept my deepest gratitude for your support this year, and best wishes to you and your family for a joyful and prosperous 2021.
Sincerely,
Vince Torres
President & Executive Director

Dear Friends:
On behalf of Family Policy Alliance of New Mexico®, I want to wish you a Happy New Year and extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you who supported us with your prayers and financial gifts in 2019. From the very beginning, I have said this and I will continue to say it—we could not do this without you!
As we begin 2020, I want to take a moment to reflect on what we have already done and what we plan to do. This week, let’s look back at what we accomplished together in 2019!
Our Top 3 Accomplishments of 2019
#1—We defeated radical, anti-life legislation during the 2019 Legislative Session!
Without a doubt, the 2019 Legislative Session was a historic time for our organization and the pro-life community in New Mexico. Not only did we defeat a dangerous assisted suicide bill, but we also sent shockwaves through the Capitol when we defeated the radical abortion-up-to-birth bill, HB51. Through our mobilization efforts—in partnership with New Mexico Right to Life and New Mexico Alliance for Life—thousands of phone calls and emails were sent to Legislators and the Governor, and pro-life citizens showed up in the thousands to stand for life. Perhaps most encouraging to me, pastors across the state spoke up on the issue and encouraged their church members to do the same.
#2—We sent two more New Mexican leaders to the Statesmen Academy!
During the summer of 2019, we, along with our sister organization – Family Policy Foundation®, were honored host the 2019 Statesmen Academy℠—a weeklong conference in Atlanta for on-the-rise Christian legislators and aspiring leaders. Representing New Mexico were Michael Hendricks and Pastor Brian Alarid. Statesmen Academy classes were taught by experienced Christian leaders including retired U.S. Senator Tom Coburn of Oklahoma; professor and author, Dr. Wayne Grudem; and Dr. Matt Spalding of Hillsdale College. The class also heard from Governor Brian Kemp who had recently signed Georgia’s “Heartbeat Bill.”
#3—We met our fundraising target for 2019!
In just our second year in operation, you helped us meet our bold fundraising goal for 2019. Raising the funds needed to sustain our operation is always a challenge, but thanks to ministry partners like you, we surpassed our prior year’s giving and began the new fiscal year on a high note.
Friends—this is what we have already done. And the good news is, we have exciting plans for 2020!
Next week, we will look at our Top 3 Goals for 2020. Until then, God bless you and best wishes for a joyful and prosperous new year!
Sincerely,
Vince Torres
President and Executive Director
P.S. As you plan your charitable giving for 2020, please keep us in mind and consider setting up a recurring monthly gift to support our efforts. 2020 will be full of opportunities and threats when it comes to the issues and values we care about. Together, however, and with the good Lord’s blessing, this will be a year in which we continue to move the ball forward for a New Mexico where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive, and life is cherished. Thank you!
I get it… those New Year’s resolutions can be pesky. We do our best after the Christmas feast to lose weight, exercise, eat right, turn off the TV and read more books!
“We’re going to kick the old habits and start anew,” we say. Change doesn’t come easy.
Do you really want to get serious about restoring resolutions? Then, tell someone and give them permission to hold you accountable.
In that spirit, here are Family Policy Alliance’s resolutions for 2020. I ask you to keep us accountable throughout the year!
- Be Christ-centered in all we say and do.
- Identify Christian men and women who are called to serve in the mission field of American politics and commit to serving as Statesmen and Stateswomen—men and women committed to doing the right thing regardless of the personal consequences, knowing that God appoints people to places of authority (Rom. 13:1).
- Train these men and women in our week-long Statesmen training program—a program of our sister organization, Family Policy Foundation®—and throughout their careers in public service as Statesmen Alumni.
- As resources are provided, identify principled conservatives already in office—from school boards to Governors’ houses to Congress—and invest in their elections.
- Be a voice for the Church in our nation’s and states’ capitals. Speak into and equip the church to engage as biblical citizens. Mobilize these informed citizens to make their voices heard on issues that impact them, their families and the body of Christ.
- Serve an effective alliance of Statesmen, pastors, state policy and business leaders and biblical citizens who are all committed to standing firm and taking action (Dan. 11:32b).
- Be good stewards of the sacrificial resources our ministry partners provide, for which we are exceedingly grateful.
Here’s the kicker.
Transformation doesn’t come easy or in just one year. At Family Policy Alliance®, we are committed to these resolutions year over year until our nation is one where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive and life is cherished.
Once accomplished, we resolve to sustain it for all our future families. Thank you for making our work together possible.
Happy New Year to you and your family from all of us at Family Policy Alliance,
Paul Weber
President & CEO
