No one is running against Randy Robertson this election cycle, and that’s a good thing. Anyone considering such a run clearly saw his strong support, and he’s, instead, been able to focus on entirely on serving the district and working with conservatives for other big wins – like, say, helping David Jenkins beat Bob Trammell.
Despite the fact that there’s not a race against Randy, I wanted to write even a short note of endorsement for this leader that Family Policy Foundation of Georgia identified for what he is: a Statesman.
Randy Robertson is a force for our values under the Gold Dome. From Day One, he’s commanded respect, and his influence outweighs that of a freshman senator. He listens when he needs to and doesn’t hesitate to speak when the situation calls for it. He brings wisdom and commitment to the cause, and he knows when to dialogue to build consensus and when to fight through the opposition.
I’ve heard Randy say many times that the Heartbeat Bill was the easiest vote he ever cast. He didn’t hesitate to stand for life. Beyond that, he didn’t hesitate to help others – colleagues that were more hesitant – see what was right, to look past the politics and stand for human life. He’s a leader, and, in so many instances, he’s used that natural skill to bring clarity in the State Senate.
As you know, Randy is a cop. In this time where law enforcement is under attack, he’s undoubtedly been called by God to be their advocate, their voice, in this unprecedented time. He’s done so with grace and compassion but also a fire for his brethren. Georgia would be less safe and our cops would be far less represented without Randy Robertson in the State Senate.
We’re proud to count on Randy as a go-to ally in the State Senate. Whether it’s fighting for school choice and for the rights of homeschoolers to participate in extracurricular activities at the local public school or one of a host of other issues, I know Randy Robertson is someone who will be a champion for our values.
Moreover, I’ve had the privilege to count Randy as a friend. He’s someone who is willing to counsel and advise me and our movement, and he’s someone we consider a partner in our mission for a Georgia where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive, and life is cherished.
So no, Randy doesn’t have competition this election cycle. But, I wanted you to know how highly I think of your State Senator. When you get to his place on the ballot, don’t let it pass by. Cast your vote for Randy Robertson!
