“When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan.” Proverbs 29:2
Yes, Planned Parenthood is praying for you…to stay home next Tuesday. While the “big ticket” campaigns are set for 2018, across the state next week, Georgians will vote for local elected officials who will have a profound impact- one way or another- on our values.
And, don’t forget the numerous special elections for State House and State Senate that will help determine the direction of state policy.
While we have, so far, made one endorsement (Tina Trent for HD 26), we are also watching HD 4, HD 119, and SD 6 with great interest. Those are races where we are considering making an endorsement in the runoff.
Already in 2017, Planned Parenthood and radical leftist groups have spent BIG money in Georgia and they are looking to do more to turn Georgia blue in the years ahead. We are counting on you to join us by engaging in biblical citizenship, showing up to vote, and pushing back against those hostile to our values!
This is a big part of why we are here- Scripture contains numerous exhortations to select wise leaders. We believe that engaging actively in elections is a vital part of our mission to achieve a Georgia where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive, and life is cherished. Can we count on your support for our election efforts with a generous gift?
A humble prayer request- I normally use this space to lift up a particular organizational or Georgia political prayer request, but, if you’ll allow, I will ask that you indulge me with a personal request. This week, my beautiful wife is entering the third trimester of her pregnancy with our third son. With our previous two boys there have been difficulties and minor complications in the home stretch, and I ask that you lift her and the baby up in your prayers if you feel so led.
In His Service,
President and Executive Director
This message is paid for by Family Policy Alliance of Georgia. Our original message announcing our endorsement of Tina Trent on 10/17/17 was also paid for by Family Policy Alliance of Georgia.
It wasn’t always pretty. It wasn’t always assured. There certainly were moments where it looked grim. In fact, the day Family Policy Alliance of Georgia began running ads in the 6th U.S. Congressional District, Jon Ossoff was leading Karen Handel by 7 points!
But, we serve a great God who delivered a 52-48 victory for our new congresswoman!
Jon Ossoff had more than $30 million, the national party apparatus united behind him, busloads of out-of-state volunteers, the MSNBC hosts singing his praises, dramatic voting rules changes, and a perfect political storm that many thought would sweep him to victory.
What they weren’t counting on, however, was you. YOU prayed, spoke out and rose up to deliver a victory that sent shockwaves around the country!
This is first and foremost a victory for our values. When Jon Ossoff exposed himself by attacking Karen Handel for her opposition to Planned Parenthood funding, the tide began to turn. While many voters in the 6th District have frustrations with President Trump, last night’s win shows that we meant what we voted last fall, that we want to give the president an opportunity to fight for our values, and that we will not vote against our interests and beliefs simply to make a point.
However, we cannot rest. Despite a demoralizing defeat, the Left is not going to leave Georgia alone. Their top candidate for governor already has millions flowing into her campaign. We cannot take that crucial race for granted!
Family Policy Alliance of Georgia is proud to have endorsed Karen Handel and played our part to help secure her victory. Will you stand with us as we prepare for pivotal 2018 elections here in Georgia? Your financial support today will ensure that we are able to meet similar challenges in the coming year.
Planned Parenthood spent nearly $1 million to support Jon Ossoff. While Karen Handel beat them back, we need to be prepared for the Left to go all-in in their attempts to turn our state blue once again. Please stand with us today to continue to stand for our values!
Thank you for all your support and prayers. Together, through prayer and action, we made a difference. Let’s continue to pray for Karen Handel as she now heads to represent us in Congress!
In His Service,
TAKE ACTION: Family Policy Alliance of Georgia made a difference in electing Karen Handel because of supporters like you. Can we count on your support to help us make a similar impact in 2018?
What will the headline be on June 21st? When the dust settles after the Election Day, what will the narrative be?
Will the headline be “Georgia Turning Blue” or “Christians Rise Up to Defend Georgia 6”? “Big Win for Planned Parenthood” or “6th District Says ‘No’ to Pro-Abortion Liberal”? “Victory for Ossoff” or “Handel Hands Georgia Families a Win”?
If you believe the latest polls, efforts by out-of-state groups to buy this election could very well pay off.
Over 97% of Jon Ossoff’s record-setting fundraising is coming from outside of Georgia because the Left is determined to engage in a takeover of our state so they can hang the trophy on their wall.
Just a week ago, polls showed Ossoff had pulled ahead of Karen Handel by 7 points.
But, the 6th district is waking up! The most recent polling shows a dead heat!
With momentum turning, your vote could be the deciding factor. Every vote will count. Everyone you talk to could be the person that makes a difference. Every moment you can devote to helping Karen Handel win could send a message that will be heard around the country.
So, what can you do?
- If you haven’t voted early, GO VOTE ON TUESDAY, JUNE 20TH!!! Find your polling place here.
- Join Family Policy Alliance of Georgia and our supporters around the country in prayer.
- Share our ad, which tells the truth about Jon Ossoff, with as many of your friends and family as possible.
The stakes of this election are high. With a loss, the media narrative will be that it repudiates what happened across the nation last November. A win here means a major victory for Georgia families – and sets the stage for the 2018 midterm elections.
With the election just days ahead, let’s leave nothing on the field. Let’s unite, pray, and work to elect Karen Handel to represent our families in Congress!
Proud to Stand with Karen,
TAKE ACTION: Win or lose, the Left isn’t going to leave Georgia alone. They are already plotting to target more congressional districts as well as to Governor’s Mansion. Please contribute to Family Policy Alliance of Georgia today to help support pro-family values in 2018!
My family has already made several trips to the community pool. My oldest son, Peyton, is absolutely loving it! My younger son, Cade, well… not so much.
You see, while Peyton enjoys the cool and refreshing water, Cade, my one-and-a-half year old, struggles in my arms to get to the side of the pool. That crazy son of mine then climbs up the ladder, out of the pool, and gets the goofiest grin on his face. He gleefully laughs and runs around the pool, while I try frantically to keep pace, so he doesn’t fall in.
While he’s awfully cute, my goofily grinning son is missing the point of the pool! It’s not to run around in circles, it’s to enjoy the water!
Sadly, our movement can sometimes remind me of goofy, grinning Cade. We like running around in circles, being on the periphery and exerting energy in futility instead of truly accomplishing something, fulfilling our purpose and being genuinely in the mix.
At Family Policy Alliance of Georgia, we are committed to providing the strategy, focus, and leadership to make certain our movement no longer runs in circles. To a great extent, that begins with unity.
Have you ever noticed how the Left manages to unite behind their candidates much more quickly than we do? Have you noticed how faithful its adherents are to their “principles?” Especially in recent years, have you seen how they’ve excelled in organization, energy and unity? Have you noticed that, even in primaries, the “Establishment” will field only one or two candidates, while principled conservatives are divided?
If this is a frustration of yours as well, we want to work with you to bring leadership to our side. To that end, we are:
- Working to build a grassroots network of committed Christian activists and leaders, understanding that true cultural change begins and ends with the church.
- Connecting the Christian business community to best apply leverage to effect change.
- Strategically analyzing campaigns to rally our “troops” around the best candidates.
- Crafting a legislative game plan and building the coalition needed to get the job done.
- Casting aside concern for credit – instead focusing solely on glorifying our Savior in our efforts.
Can you imagine what we could accomplish if Christians were united? What if churches and the business communities were networked and there was real, strategic leadership?
Our mission is to facilitate that unity and connectivity.
If you want to join us in this effort – lending your time and talent to providing leadership in Georgia – please call me at 770-400-9670 or via email at email@example.com. Or, support our efforts by contributing to our work.
In His Service,
TAKE ACTION: The Left is unified, but we are all too often divided. We have even seen this play out in the 6th District Congressional race. Please join us today in being part of the solution to this ongoing problem.
Have you heard the news? Jon Ossoff, the Democrat candidate running for Rep. Tom Price’s former seat in Georgia’s 6th district is attacking Republican Karen Handel because she stands for women’s health, for our tax dollars, and for the right to life.
Consultants on TV are working hard to portray Ossof as someone who will fight for Georgia values, but the fact that he doesn’t even live in Georgia’s 6th district and the out-of-state money pouring in from liberal groups like Planned Parenthood reveal that he stands more with “San Francisco liberals” and Nancy Pelosi than Georgia families.
Liberals are spending record-breaking amounts of money on Ossof to try to prove that Americans don’t want family-values conservatives in Congress! That’s why we need your help to get the message out that Karen Handel will better represent Georgia families! Will you help by sharing this brand-new ad with your friends and family?
As you can tell, we are very excited about this ad. However, this is about more than just this campaign. At Family Policy Alliance of Georgia, we are passionate about finding leaders who represent your values, and helping them get elected. This ad is the first of what will be many efforts to engage in elections to elect pro-family leaders.
My friends, Family Policy Alliance of Georgia will not sit on the sidelines during campaigns and elections. We firmly believe that the best way to affect policy change is to change the people making the policy. That’s why you can always count on us to be on the frontlines, right where the action is!
Will you join us? Can we count on you to oppose the radical Left and their adherents like Jon Ossoff? Do you believe we can make the difference in electing pro-family leaders like Karen Handel here in Georgia? Let’s work together to make this vision a reality!
In His Service,
P.S. Jon Ossoff wants to use our tax dollars to fund the nation’s #1 provider of abortion on demand. Watch and share our ad to make sure voters know the truth!
I am excited to announce that Family Policy Alliance of Georgia is endorsing Karen Handel in her bid to represent the 6th Congressional District of Georgia.
As we’ve watched this race, we’ve seen the Left attempt to build a Manchurian candidate from Jon Ossoff—an out-of-district liberal brought in to prove a point. We’ve seen him become the poster-child for those disappointed by the results in November and the Left is now spending millions to prop him up. Groups like Planned Parenthood are spending BIG money because they know Ossoff will push their values on Georgians!
A loss in this race means the media will spin a narrative of Georgia going blue, a repudiation of conservative principles, an embrace of radical leftist, anti-family ideology, and a rising liberal star emerging from the Peach State—one who will haunt us for years to come.
But, while the prospect of Ossoff in Congress is mortifying, we have a tremendous opportunity.
Time and again, Karen Handel has proven to be a principled conservative. She has stood up to Planned Parenthood, advocated for the biblical definition of the family, and is a true servant-leader. We believe that she will be a worthy successor to Tom Price in Congress.
My friends, the battle lines are being drawn in Georgia and around the country. The Left wants to nullify the results of the November election and they want to build a narrative that our values, the values that fueled victories all around the country last fall, are losing issues.
That could not be more wrong!
We are engaging on the front lines for the values we care about. This means rolling up our sleeves and supporting good candidates in Georgia who will partner with us.
Planned Parenthood is running scared because they know that they are at the greatest risk they’ve ever been to losing their taxpayer funding, as families across the country say “enough.” With your help, we can lead this effort and continue the momentum from 2016!
In His Service,
Sometimes elections in individual states can have policy consequences for the nation.
Thanks to folks on the Left, the Georgia 6th District special election has turned into a referendum on the 2016 election where Republicans gained the Senate, the House and the White House. Groups like Planned Parenthood are spending big money on the Democrat candidate, Jon Ossoff, who has become the darling of the Left and the mainstream media.
“Planned Parenthood is spending millions of dollars around the country to elect officials who will continue to use our tax dollars to fund abortions,” said Cole Muzio, president of Family Policy Alliance of Georgia, one of Family Policy Alliance’s 40 state-based family groups, “because they know that they are at the greatest risk they’ve ever been to losing their taxpayer funding, as families across the country say ‘enough.’ With your help, we can lead the push back and continue the momentum from 2016!”
On the Republican ticket is Karen Handel. Karen worked for the Susan G. Komen Foundation until they began to partner with Planned Parenthood. As a Christian, Handel could not follow her faith and support such a partnership.
“Time and again, Karen Handel has proven to be a principled conservative,” said Muzio. “She has stood up to Planned Parenthood, advocated for the biblical definition of the family, and is a true servant-leader. We believe that she will be a worthy successor to Tom Price in Congress.”
A loss in this race means the media will spin a narrative of Georgia going blue, a repudiation of conservative principles, an embrace of radical leftist, anti-family ideology, and a rising liberal star emerging from the Peach State.
“The Left wants to nullify the results of November 2016,” explained Muzio, “and they want to build a narrative that our values, the values that fueled victories all around the country last fall, are losing issues.”
Jon Ossoff is raking in MILLIONS of out-of-state political money. As the darling of liberals -reeling from a resounding defeat in November- he is benefitting from a united base of support. This puts Georgia’s 6th congressional district at tremendous risk!
Meanwhile, conservatives have as many as four pro-family candidates mounting competitive campaigns. If this confusion leads voters to stay home on April 18 or on June 20 (the date of the runoff), we very well could see a radical liberal representing Tom Price’s former district. (See graphic above for where the candidates stand.)
The body of Christ cannot afford to stay silent, to stay at home, or to allow the united, organized and well-funded Left to impose its will on the 6th district.
If Christians show up to vote on April 18, we can force a runoff between Ossoff and a conservative. Then, united, we can work diligently at the grassroots level, and show up to vote in force on June 20.
The radical Left sees an opportunity in Georgia and they will not stop with this campaign. Can we count on you to partner with us as we work in the electoral process for a Georgia where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive, and life is cherished?
There is a lot of work to do now and the Family Policy Alliance of Georgia is already looking to next year. Can you contribute $15, $25, or $50 today to help us communicate with voters in the 6th district, to elect a committed pro-family legislature in 2018, and to support a candidate for governor who will protect religious freedom?
Together, we have the power to affect profound change in our culture.
Thank you for standing with us!
In His Service,
Will a conservative Georgia Congressional District send a “defender of Planned Parenthood” to Congress?
Recent polling suggests it might.
Liberal Democrat Jon Ossoff has a significant lead in the polls for the special election in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District and he is a near lock to make the runoff. Moreover, polling shows he has a strong chance to win in a hypothetical two-person showdown.
Ossoff has a host of problems, but we are primarily concerned about his staunch opposition to our values. He has publicly pledged to “defend Planned Parenthood,” fight for a woman’s “right” to terminate the life of her preborn child and make sexual orientation and gender identity a protected class.
We are not making an endorsement in this race, but, Jon Ossoff unabashedly proclaims a liberal worldview. Three of the four other candidates polling competitively- Karen Handel, Judson Hill, and Bob Gray- all make strong, pro-life statements on their websites. The other, Dan Moody, features a school choice position on his site.
In the coming days and weeks, Family Policy Alliance of Georgia will share more insight on this race and the candidates.
The threat is real. The conservative 6th Congressional District could very well send a radical liberal to Washington to oppose our values.
The time to act is now!
Above, you can see the stated positions of each of the five candidates recently polling above 2%. While there are other quality candidates in the race, a number of them are not polling well. It appears the runoff will come down to Ossoff and one of the other four mentioned above. Please share this information with your friends and family and follow our comments on this race.
