Dear Friends,
On Sunday, we will thank God for one of His most extraordinary gifts: mothers.
Motherhood is far more than a role—it’s a calling. Scripture celebrates mothers from beginning to end, from Eve, the “mother of all the living,” to Mary, whose faithful obedience brought our Savior into the world. Proverbs 31 praises the woman who fears the Lord, whose children rise and call her blessed.
As believers, we’re called to “honor our father and mother” (Exodus 20:12), and this day offers us a renewed opportunity to do just that. Look around and you’ll see the quiet, powerful influence of godly mothers everywhere, the prayers whispered over sleeping children, the wisdom passed down across generations, and the steadfast faith that often begins at a mother’s knee.
To all the moms reading this, thank you. Your faithfulness is a testimony, and your daily work carries eternal weight.
To those grieving today—whether through the loss of a mother, a child, or the longing for motherhood—please know our prayers are with you. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and His comfort is near.
Let us all take this moment to celebrate motherhood’s beauty, give thanks to the mothers who have shaped our lives, and recommit ourselves to honoring and uplifting them in both word and deed.
Happy Mother’s Day,
