We’re Calling on Big Tech to Protect Our Kids

October 21, 2026

Our children deserve better protection online, and we’re calling on Big Tech to take action.

Family Policy Alliance, alongside several of our state Family Policy Councils and leading national pro-family organizations, has signed a letter urging TikTok, YouTube and Snapchat to adopt stronger safeguards for children.

Earlier this year, Meta agreed to sweeping new protections for minors on Facebook and Instagram. Now, we’re joining other national leaders in calling on major platforms to follow suit.

The letter calls for commonsense protections, including:

  • Stronger parental controls and age verification
  • Daily screen time limits
  • Restrictions during school hours and overnight
  • Safeguards against harmful content and addictive features

Protecting children shouldn’t depend on which app they’re using. This effort is already gaining national attention, with Fox Business highlighting the coalition’s call for action. Read the Fox Business coverage.

Through our Let Parents Parent initiative, Family Policy Alliance and our state allies continue fighting to put parents back in the driver’s seat and hold Big Tech accountable.

We’ll continue pressing these companies to put children and families ahead of profits. And when they take meaningful action, we’ll be ready to celebrate that progress.

Thank you for standing with us as we work to protect the next generation.
