Friends,Â
Families are navigating something genuinely new. Artificial intelligence is reshaping how our children learn, communicate, and understand the world, and the speed of that change is outpacing most families’ ability to respond to it. At Family Policy Alliance, we think it is a problem worth addressing head-on.Â
That’s why we are announcing a partnership with Alliance for a Better Future (ABF), an organization focused on protecting children and families from the emerging harms tied to AI technology. Together, we’re building the resources, policy frameworks, and advocacy tools our Family Policy Councils across the country need to address these challenges where it matters most — in your statehouses, your communities, your kids’ schools and your own homes.Â
Learn more about our partnership in this week’s episode of the SoCon Report as I interview ABF CEO Janet Kelly about the importance of ensuring children are protected online:Â
At the core of this partnership is a desire to protect kids. AI is already being used to expose adolescents to content dealing with self-harm, gender confusion, and suicide. Harmful ideas are being sown into the minds of young children, without oversight or parental knowledge, and the regulatory landscape hasn’t caught up to put an end to it. We intend to change that.Â
These are not abstract issues; they’re already showing up in state legislatures. We at FPA are prepared to engage them in a God-fearing, pro-family way. Â
We are grateful for partners like ABF who share our conviction that technology ought to serve human dignity, not undermine it. Â
Thank you for joining us in this next chapter of protecting kids online.Â
For the family,

Craig DeRoche
