Dear Friends,
Senator Mike Testa (R – Cape May Court House), Senator James Holzapfel (R-Brick), Assemblyman Greg McGuckin (R- Brick) and Assemblyman John Catalano (R- Brick). recently introduced the “Fairness in Women’s Sports Act” (Senate bill 3540 and Assembly bill 5545).
It is simple to understand: when biological males are allowed to compete on girls’ sports teams, they rob girls of championships, state records, and scholarship opportunities. Girls-only sports as a category ceases to exist. Male sports and co-ed sports remain, but actual girls’ sports are erased.
Unfortunately, anti-women activists in New Jersey have mobilized the past couple of weeks to overwhelm these legislators’ offices with emails communicating their strong objection to this common-sense fairness issue. They claim males and females can both be considered “women” and should be allowed to play “women’s sports.”
In response, we need you to contact these legislators and let them know how much you appreciate their leadership in protecting female athletes from having to compete against males in girls’ sports. Please click here to send them an email. We must make sure they hear from New Jerseyeans who believe girls should have their rights and opportunities protected.
Thank you for spreading the word!
Sincerely,
Shawn Hyland
Executive Director
